Just had a look through the top 7s fixtures, I’ve got myself excited again. We seem to have the best run in. Rotherham & MK Dons would have to fall apart but it’s possible, we did. We are getting some big players back and up to full fitness, the current set all seem to be in good form, it’s looking positive
Plymouth, as an example, were 'promoted' and people were saying it was them plus one ... ... we're now in a position whereby we can go above them. Yesterday both ourselves and Oxford were quite nervy but we kept ours when it mattered. By the looks of it there were other promotion contenders who didn't. I wasn't just hoping for a winner, I was expecting it and the players seem to have a real spirit now. Neil is learning on the job and finding out who he rely on ... ... Easter will see which teams can hold it all together imo.
Easter is going to be a real roller coaster with plenty shocks in store, we just have to make sure we're not on the receiving end of one of those shocks. Plymouth will be difficult but not insurmountable, come on lads we can do it, were putting a run of good results together at the right time, performances don't mean a thing now it's all about winning, and we are.
They aren't handling it well! https://yellowsforum.co.uk/threads/09-04-2022-l1-oufc-v-sunderland.7788/page-16
Third post down, would have Lee Johnson as a manager, think that with a more relaxed fan base he’d get them up. It hasn’t worked so far for them. https://yellowsforum.co.uk/threads/09-04-2022-l1-oufc-v-sunderland.7788/page-21
They were in the last chance saloon yesterday, of course their energy level would be up...until the winner. I saw nothing yesterday that would say they were the better team other than their running about. trouble is , its goal what count.
There was nothing in the game that made them better than us. Nothing. They were as good (bad?) as we were. A draw, on balance of play, wouldn’t have been an unfair result. We had, imo, the better clear cut chances and we didn’t spurn ours when it counted as you say
I just laughed when I was reading the comments. Our away support is very vocal at every game. Clearly bitter.
