Possibly, I dont think it is.

Is it a manager not as good as we thought?

Or is it the players again, the poor ones that aren’t good enough, those same ones who were playing when Ralph was getting all the credit for our good run?

I just dont see this as simple as players on the beach, whilst I think we are safe, we are not that safe if that makes sense.

I`m away for the weekend, so yesterday was the first game this season I haven`t watched. I have no expectation to win any game - what I do expect is 100% effort, and if that`s not the case, then its shameful.
I never leave before the end though - even in the most turgid, awful game, something special can happen. I learned that 50 years watching Arbroath v Aberdeen. Near the end, Aberdeen brought on our sub, a winger called Bertie Miller - he whipped off his track suit bottoms, revealing his jock strap - he`d forgotten to put his shorts on !

The players yesterday had a mare especially Bedders( who definitely looks like he wants out) and that’s the worst I have ever seen JWP play.
Only realised Che was on the pitch when the commentator mentioned his name after 30 mins.
And regarding Ralph, he’s the best we get ATM, we certainly couldn’t attract anyone better ATM( unless the new owners splash the cash of course).
Not looking forward to Arsenal away week.

Is this a good time to mention that the skates are destined for yet another season in League One?

You want to put a child in the cells?! Jesus. I hope you don’t have kids, would feel quite worried about what passes as discipline in your house.

The closest our two CBs got to each other all game, was when they nearly had a punch up. I wouldn't look much further than that for the problem tbh, and if Salisu and Bednarak sit out the rest of the season, that's fine by me.

For sure the players must shoulder large chunk of the blame, and I also get we are playing a very good team. However, we played a team who are also going through a tough time, and we played right into their hands, with two up top and light in midfield, against a team who has one of the best midfields in the league. That is on Ralph.

And it isnt one game, this is what is concerning. We go go bad, we go all in bad, and Ralph doesnt seem so capable of stopping it.

As for someone else, I think others may do as well, some may do better, we just dont know, but I dont think we are batting above our average in having Ralph.

And Arsenal, yep not looking forward to it, be would be like us to win.

What happened there? CB’s not getting on is surely a recipe for a heavy defeat.

My mistake….I am sure I heard the commentator yesterday say we was away next game, I should have checked.

I'm still seething about yesterday's debacle. At no time can we just write off and excuse a 6-0 loss at home that should really have been a record defeat. Ralph has got to get to the bottom of the problem because results start with him ultimately. I've never seen a such a limp, disorganised and frankly unprofessional defensive display and I'd be happy to see both CBs dropped for the next few matches.

Whilst it was wholly unprofessional by Salisu to turn on Bednarek, I can completely understand why he did. Having Jan alongside him must have been difficult to stomach.

Actually, I say "alongside" but the total opposite is the truth. Until Valery came on, Bednarek was generally everywhere other than at CB. Took man-marking Werner to the absolute extreme. Pretty much the only time that Bednarek was central was when Salisu was taking throw-ins, and we thought it might be safe to risk a straight foot race between Bednarek and Werner. If yesterday is the last time we see those stupid, non-effective, highly risky throw-ins from Salisu, then the result might just be worthwhile.

Okay, I’ve worked out what to do.

Much as I may be thinking that perhaps Beddy is becoming a ‘problem’ in the dressing room (based on little but supposition), I’ve worked out how to solve our mini slump.

Now I’ve changed my username, it gives us an opportunity to DTM (destroy the mechanism), as it will allow me to take up the next match thread (unless anyone objects?), giving us a run to the end of the season, commensurate to our last good run of RTM matches.
