Yep, that's how I saw it too. Had Valery not been in between them, I'd have half expected Salisu to land one on Bednarek.
Just out of interest, what do you think about that? Do you think supporters should stay to the bitter end regardless?
Each to their own. Hard to be impressed by the early leavers even though I understand their feelings. I was, however, very impressed by those in the Northam who tried to rally the players and crowd with 'stand up if you love the saints' at 0-6 down. I suppose part of me says if you don't want players to give up, we shouldn't give up ourselves but that's not a criticism; just a personal opinion
Left at half time with a mate who is staying the w/e who came up from Plymouth.. Time these so called professionals understood how much it costs..
I am torn, it was a very hard boring watch and understand why some left. Fortunately I took my lad and his mate so was obliged to stay
I thought about leaving but then the hassle of getting hold of my dad who was on the other side of the ground I couldn't be bothered. Rather like the players today
Difference is we are paying to be entertained and the players are being paid a fortune to entertain us. No comparison really
What did annoy me today were the pitch encroachments - especially the 12 year old Saints fan. As he was being led away by stewards I saw his Dad asking stewards near the tunnel if he could go down with him but he was sent away. Not sure whether it's legal but I thought that kid ought to enjoy the cells for a few hours. A hard lesson taken at an early age. As for the parent.... WTF.
We each have our own opinions which is fine. Did you hear the Ralph interview BTW. Blackmore asked him if he felt the players let him down today and what was he going to say to them. His reply was that we win together and we lose together. Nice words - although I hope that behind the scenes he's not quite so understanding with them!!
We never leave early We left early At 6-0 and no sign of any fight we felt our time was better spent elsewhere I’ll never boo or shout negative shot at the players and I don’t expect us to beat teams like Chelsea often, but I reserve the right to vote with my feet when we play like that Maybe they’ll try harder to keep us there for longer next time Bring on the Arse
Not sure what I am more annoyed about. The fact after 25 minutes Ralph had made no changes to tactics or players when we could have been 5/6 down instead of 3 or the fact that the players did not seem to react in any way to each of the first 3 goals. No shouting. Noone taking charge getting everyone to focus. Just silence. Heads went down and walked to the centre of the pitch. JWP Bednarek Stu are the seniors on the pitch yet all just walked back after every goal. That being said, Ralph has had to do what he can with limited funds after sales (ings was lucky due to his injury record). With the new ownership I want to see what he can do next year if we are serious about bringing players in. If we are in the same position come January then it might be time for a change. Unfortunately, cannot see Broja wanting to stay even if Chelsea were willing to sell as we sorely miss a link up player like lallana/tadic/Schneideelon looking for that attacking forward pass.
Difficult to take anything positive besides the occasional bit of good footy that led to nothing. Fraz kept the score down KWP good Perraud on and switching Kyle to the right an unused option. Line, learn and move on.
In our last 5 league games we have scored 3 conceded 15 and have only picked up 1 point. Flip flops already?
