I can see Leeds, Newcastle and Brentford overtaking us, it's lucky Everton are as **** as they are or we'd be right in it. If this is as good as we should expect it to be, then it's time to call it a day.
Our squad is 10th-15th in terms of quality in reality. Whoever is in charge of us needs 3-4 new players in the summer that are starting eleven quality.
We are not a very good or successful team when we don't employ the high press, high energy style of play. Ralph needs to get back to what was getting results in the past.
And I think we will sign some good players this summer, I’m quite excited about it. And maybe Tom is correct, we will still have Ralph in charge next season, and if he is here, I will support him, and hope for his sake we get points on the board early!
It's the most painfully lazy argument, and I've been going against it for over two seasons now. We are equal in quality, more or less, to any team below the top 7 (+ Leicester). Last season, with our injury issues, fair enough, but not this season. Very likely Brentford will be finishing above us at this rate. A f*cking promoted team. Plus, wasn't everybody saying that Ralph would do much better once he had his own squad? Well, this is very much his squad. Can't use that excuse any more.
I wonder if today was compounded not having Broja. When we have no one powerful to lead the line, the ball just keeps coming back at us.
Ralph needs to clear out his backroom staff. I blame his coaching staff as much as him. Some of them have been here too long, and while managers have come and gone, most of them are still here. Klopp said on the BT documentary about the Liverpool “Boot Room” that he would not be the manager he is without the people around him. All managers need a strong, outspoken support team, but Ralph doesn’t seem to have that.
Im not sure why he even changed it. I thought he changed it after the Villa game, which i think in ref to Laces, was just one of those games, but maybe he reacted after that and changed what worked well.
Our squad is only poor when we're not playing well: KWP Tino/Perraud Salisu Jwp Romeu Armstrong Broja Che That's 8 starters who have almost always had huge praise heaped on them on this forum but now they're not good enough?
