What about all the other bad days then Laces? I get we can play well in periods, but do you not think something is off with Ralph, as when it is bad, it is so, so, so bad. So when we play well, it appears at times on here what a great manager Ralph is, as referenced in the Ralph thread, when we play ****, like today, it is the players. So it cant be had both ways, surely if we play well it is also the players, and not just Ralph?
I have to agree with you. We played one up front against Watford, but today we went with two (neither EPL standard, so why we wasted either playing a DM or five at the back, being they are World Club Champions). It was evident when they hit the woodwork twice in five mins, they were passing through the midfield and the back four; we had to wait until we conceded four goals before Ralph realised he had ****ed up (again) ... please feel free to critique.
I don’t know, Billy. I don’t think it’s quite as binary as has been made out, but I honestly don’t know. These games can happen. Football is weird. But I certainly don’t think they’ve stopped playing for Ralph or something like that. I may be wrong, but I don’t see that.
Totally agree. Laces made the point about Puel going for his style of play. Didnt get dicked as bad as Ralph has time, and time, and time again. Im not saying I want Ralph gone, but I wouldn’t be upset and hope we are at least looking around.
We were 8th under Puel, i'm not saying get rid but there is clearly something not right at the club right now, players are not giving anywhere near their best and we can't blame it on injuries this season.
I am still coming to terms that l left the ground at half time and l do not feel bad about it. I also thought, as l walked to the bus, where does Ralph sit amongst our managers since we lost MP to Spurs and not sure he is better than Puel.
The squad is good. Salisu, KWP, Livramento, JWP, Romeu, Armstrong, Broja. All quality players. Even the likes of Bednarek and Redmond are good enough. Perraud, Adams. Sorry, but we've got good players all over the pitch. Ralph is able to get them performing sometimes, but not enough. He's so easily worked out by opposition managers.
Yeah I agree they haven’t stopped playing for Ralph. I also think though that Ralph didnt react quick enough, it was plain to see for any competent coach that it needed to change, and this isn’t just ‘one of those games’, Ralph hasn’t managed to change it to stop the goals going in. This isn’t a one off either, and I cant objectively think of any other team that concedes as many in these games as Ralph. Im sure there are some, just cant think of them. I dont know what the answer is either, not sure sacking him is right btw, just I dont think Ralph is as good perhaps as some people do.
I'm hoping this is all a cunning plan to make sure none of our players get poached in the summer, unless it's by Leicester as they don't seem to care. Utter pants today. I can't watch any more
I always thought it has something to do with Ralph's "automations" and loading the player's "hard-drive" with specific information; which when certain events coalesce his system is suseptable to just - totally- crash.
Possibly, I’m not qualified to say, but just think the manager has a responsibility to change it so when it goes like Lei, Utd, today, he changes it so we only get beat by 4.
Yep, cant agree our squad is average, not at all. I mean, it is tough to chat about this just now - we are not far from mid table, and think we should have been finishing maybe 10/11th this season. We will likely finish maybe 15/16th, which I think is under achieving.
I’m no expert, but being slow to react does seem to be a problem with Ralph. I can only think it’s some sort of ‘Bielsa’ effect, where stubbornness to the system acts as a handicap?
