It never hit the heights of The Stone Roses, The Smiths or The Charlatans early stuff but there was a lot of content and a great scene. Just remember a lot of gigs and beer gardens, a great scene more than quality or great albums but it also had it's moments.

It was decent pop music I'll give it that.

It all just felt a bit manufactured, look at us groovy brits, and it was marketed as such.

The indie scene it evolved from was truly groundbreaking, so I guess it was always gonna look a bit ****e in comparison.

    You've covered loads of it.

Bar the indie and hip hop stuff, I was heavily into house so a lot was just tracks in clubs.

So, there's stuff like Leftfield and Underworld putting out great albums.

    Portishead and Massive Attack obviously.

Do Pixies squeeze in? Doolitle probs last of the 80's.

    Evening everyone.
