only done it the once. Had a real blast, some rather dubious health and safety issues out in zimbabwe makes it a bit more wild (well when i went 18 years ago). You should give it a go. Not sure what is like in the UK where the waters freezing and so is the sun but in the heat its great.
There's a place near me called the US National Whitewater center. It's where competitive whitewater "athletes?" go to train (and day trippers too). They have a man made loop with a boat lift at the end that will take you back to the top once you've gone round. Much prefer that place to Disney or Alton Towers any day.
Disney World and Alton Towers are literally 2 of my favourite places in the world. Looks like I’ve made a new enemy today.
5 hours drive. Which by American standards isn't a long distance. . Close enough for a weekend trip, not that I've ever been there.
I remembered it for the wolf ride which no longer exists, at the time it's second drop was world reknowned, but obviously roller coasters have moved on in the last decade and more...
I love roller coasters, I don't like the crowds and lines associated with roller coasters and theme parks. I only usually go when the kids drag me. Personally, I've always been a fan of the old wooden ones that rattle you around as you go. The faster and smoother ones lack character to me... . (I also drive a nice old banger car that rattles around)
What's at Coxhoe? Used to play football for Coxhoe back in the day. Coxhoe on a Saturday, Doggy on a Sunday. Happy days.
