The Masters

Was gonna post this pre tournament, but didn't get round to it. I've backed a few and 4 out the five had decent opening rounds and are up there. Without doubt the story is Tiger limping round the course in the wind on 1 leg and still shooting under par despite not playing a tournament for 550 odd days. I haven't backed him but can you imagine the scenes if he's in contention on the back 9 on Sunday !

 

If the others can't beat a one-legged Tiger they need a long hard look at themselves. Smith should be kicking himself after two double bogeys in that round. Johnson my pick...

 

Can Smith hopefully goes one better this year.

Danny Willett 4 under after 9 holes in 2nd round, rolling back the years a bit......... breaking par today will be a good score given the gusty winds.......

 

I sincerely hope Woods is nowhere near contention.

Scheffler 3 clear after 13, Woods 7 behind...

I get what u mean Stroller, I certainly wouldn't want my daughter seeing him as an idol(not that she actually gives a crap about golf!). I am not sure why he is still given such legendary status, guess it will all come out at some point

 

His golfing achievements are undeniable, but they don't make him a good person. Americans don't seem to bother themselves with such considerations, though.

 

Do people admire him because of his achievements in golf or because he likes cats

 

True they voted in Trump for starters, then replaced a total psychopath with a geriatric who cant even climb up some stairs to his beloved plane

Go on Scotty, showing his class as World number 1. Shocker from Smith earlier but did get back 2 shots at the end. Matsuyama coming strong again and great round from Lowry. Brewing up nicely

Cam Smith certainly had a dog’s breakfast for the day.

Having had knee reconstructions myself, l admire Woods dedication and commitment to the game and getting thru this week.

Scotty S has to be the form player to persevere and win it but l’m not going to call it yet.

Still hoping Smithy can conjure up some brilliance.

Scheffler birdies 2 of the first 3 holes to move to 10 under, Lowry 2nd on 4 under........ He needs to just hang on to Scheffler's coat tails and hope he starts to come back towards the rest of the field..............
