Do players out on loan like costa and some other bang average players qualify for the avoiding relegation bonus. I suspect they may. Anyone know?
What fans need to realise is that our owner actually does a fantastic job with a limited budget. Sometimes, we are too quick to judge...
No way is he on 25k a week. Pretty sure he signed an improved deal when he turned down villa (wasn’t it on Take us Home with Orta and granny Val etc.) which matched Bamford’s wages, 40k a week at least?
well it’s great to hear what the not606 owner does, how about your view on that asset stripping cnut who runs Leeds.
Pretty sure I remember him being on £25k pw in the Championship, which would have increased automatically on promotion to the PL. Then he signed a new contract, & has one on the table atm. Simply more pot-stirring by anti-Leeds twats. They know FA, but when has that ever stopped them?
Been thinking about those huge bonuses for staying up and have to say a clever play from radz. Wonder have Everton any bonuses in place. I somehow doubt it and Burnley definitely wouldn’t be offering 45m. Extra incentive for our lot
I was just wondering if these bonuses are awarded on a % of salary basis, a bit like a Christmas bonus some firms used to do. Also keen to learn if it's restricted to those whose efforts won those bonuses - e.g. restricted to the squad & management team? Why should our loans out get a bonus for not being good enough to play for us, far less make a contribution? That said, what about Bielsa's management team - do they get the full bonus, is it pro rata, or was this part of the exit negotiations?
Sounds far too complicated to calculate WJ. I’d be more inclined to think the 28 man squad get an even split. Throw management team in but they could be on a different scale. All added up comes to the 35m maybe
Yes, but would Bamford be happy that Roberts was getting the same bonus as him? Or the u23s that had minimal minutes. Prolly never find out, but I'm nosey.
You’re a hell of a lot nearer to the goings on than me. That’s your mission till end of season should you agree to accept it WJ go find out. If based on games played Roberts would be near top earner
I'd imagine there would be a fixed rate % bonus based on wage for anyone who has been in the first team squad, with additional bonuses based on appearances, Thus both Bamford and Roberts qualify for the fixed rate bonus, they will both earn an additional % based on appearances. It would be the same for Rodrigo and Struijk. They have around the same number of appearances, so will get a similar % bonus. However in monetary terms Rodrigo bonus will probably be higher, as he is on a higher salary than Struijk
May be wrong but Im sure when we won promotion Radz told the YEP that everyone who works for Leeds was on a bonus. He said the girl in the superstore contributed to promotion just like Liam Cooper? So maybe the same this season too and the bonus money has gone up by £8m too probably due to new players
Here you go Elland. Take a look at the attached. 78m total payroll costs for a 13 month period, including bonuses, national insurance and everything else and everyone employed by the club.
Companies obviously give bonuses. In mine everybody gets a bonus it is a percentage of your salary and it has three components. The first is for the performance of Group and relates to it achieving its goals i.e. making a profit. The second is related to the division meeting certain targets, such as staff retention no HR issues and earning ratio the third relates to personal target. If the first isn't met then no bonuses are paid. Contract staff only get the first component i.e relating to the performance of the group. So relating this to Leeds the first would be achieved if we stay in the PL. The second tranche would be paid if the team secured, say, a certain position in the league and the third if a player scored a certain number of goals or played a particular number of games, different personal objectives for each player and specific ones for each other member of staff. So Orta may have one relating to the success of his recruits. It's a tricky one for loanees. I suppose you should give them bonuses that would encourage the correct behaviour, so personal objectives only but dependent on the overall success of staying in the PL. We haven't got any right now so thankfully we don't have to worry about it. Well that's how I'd do it anyway.
Unfortunately our results when he’s not playing suggest he is the be all and end all for us. We’d have a better chance of staying up next season if we lost the entire squad than lose him. We simply have rarely won a match in last three years without him. He’s world class in a bang average squad
This is where I wonder how different it will be under Marsch. Bielsa built a team where KPs role was one, if not the most important role at the club. He filled that role to almost perfection. When he is missing Bielsa changed everyone around and put a lesser player in that KP role, instead of one player missing we had several in their non favoured position. Marsch doesn’t look like he is going to take that approach, he desperately needs a transfer window, I just hope we bring the quality in that’s required.
