He surely walks if they go down? Or is pushed? If he stayed to take them back up then he will be due a lot of credit. I simply don’t see it happening
The only goals they scored against fellow relegation strugglers were penalties. I know they all count the same but it isn’t something they can bank on. They aren’t Liverpool
I said a few weeks ago that they won't be relegated with him in the dugout - whether that's because they survive, or they sack him first (or both). I can't see them persisting with him right through to game 38 if they don't turn it around first.

I think they need to target points from every home game and its not as unrealistic it sounds. They certainly aren't getting anything at Anfield lol and their only winnable away game left I think is Watford?
Yeah a win for Everton there wouldn't surprise me much at all. Long way to go still and Burnley are just as rubbish as them if not a bit worse.
Did you watch them tonight? If they play like that again United will score at least 4. The amount of mistakes they made was incredible. if they go down, they are ****ed. I doubt they have relegation clauses. And their squad is appalling. I assume Pickford, Richarlison and doicoure will leave instantly. They could be in a right mess
Everton’s fans are the main reason that club is going down. They have created the toxicity at that club, with their illusions of grandeur and impatience. As a result they sacked Koeman too soon, Silva too soon, and Rafa too soon. Usually a run of 4 or 5 defeats is all it takes. If we were Everton then Ralph would have been sacked three times by now. It’s harsh to blame either Lampard or Rafa for the state they’re in.
This. I'm not a huge fan of Benitez but they wouldn't have found themselves in this mess had they stuck with him IMO.
Agreed. Everton had 19 points after 19 games with Rafa, which isn't wonderful, but as you say, I'm sure things would have likely got better than worse had he stayed. They drew with Chelsea and Spurs, and beat Arsenal, in the last half dozen or so games that he was there. It was against the lower teams that they were struggling. A manager with Rafa's experience is far more likely to fix that problem than a relative rookie like Lampard. Main problem for Rafa was that he didn't have the support of the fans.
I waa hoping to listen to the Everton v Burnely match on the radio whilst working last night but caught Radio 5's commentary of the chelsea tie which featured Karen Carney. I have to say that the two female commentators were extremely poor and the whole thing seemed like a tick in the box exrcise. Radio 5 have some excellent female commentators liek Eleanor Oldroyd but last night's experience reminded me how much I missed Alan Green and Jimmy Arnfield, The commnetary last night was dreadful. Whilst the new generation of female commentators seem to be selected from the ranks of international football, I don't think that any of them have the insight of the likes of EO. It was pretty dreadful, to be honest. Following the Everton match on line, I thought that when they were winning it would have relegated Burnley and ensured they had not hope of staging another revival. The reversal of forturnes at full time was a surprise but I do not doubt that there will be further twists as the season plays out. I am not too sure if Everton can avoid the drop although I think that they will lose patience with Lampard. It struck me as a strange appointment. If they get relegated, I think Everton will ditch him and bring in Wayne Rooney for the promotion push next season. I think that mught curtail any exodus but, like many others in this room, I am enjoying Everton's predicament at the moment. .
The Everton fans certainly haven't helped matters at that club, but I still think it's harsh to say they are the main reason the club is where it is at the moment. They've been run terrilbly and theres very little the fans can do about that. Same at any club, the fans have very little power and their actions mean little to the clubs or the people that run them. Saints sticking with Ralph through the awful runs of form and thrashings is the exception for most football clubs these days.
I think it's poor management more than anything. Moshiri has come in to throw money at it but has lacked any sort of plan or direction with it, instead just going for the popular name at the time such as Steve Walsh and Marco Silva. He's also let Keneright retain far too much power in terms of decision making and this has caused issues in itself. I thought the sacking of Rafa so quickly was mental after going against the fans so strongly to appoint him in the first place. Especially as they didn't have anyone lined up to take over. Pretty sure that if it wasnt for the stadium he'd have been chased off Merseyside by now.
