Footballing Gods, I'd like to see all the home teams lose please... Wimbledon v Charlton Fleetwood v Lincoln Morecambe v Oxford This will bring the teams below us, all on to the same number of games and Fleetwood (above on GD) will have one still remaining in hand after this. There is one other game, but no real pressure on us, as we are 7 points ahead of Crewe... MK Dons v Crewe
Oxford losing to Morecambe was the biggest disappointment of the night, but with games in hand being used up (except Fleetwood) we now know the task ahead. We are back in the relegation places but only one point seperates us. As it currently stands, the Fleetwood game is going be huge, but a couple of more twists and turns before then.
My bum is getting a bit squeakier ! I'm going to 'assume' that Crewe & Doncaster are 'down.' That leave 2 sides from a possible 4 to join them... Fleetwood are far from 'safe.' The following are the fixtures for these 4 ( other clubs ) ... See if you agree with my guess regarding the points from each game. AFC Wimbledon play; MK Dons (h) ( 0 ) Crewe (a) ( 0-3 ) Wycombe (h) ( 0-1) Fleetwood (a) (o) Accrington (h) (3) Total = 40 -41 Gills play; Wycombe (h) (1) Cheltenham (a) (1) Fleetwood (h) (3) Portsmouth (a) ( 0 ) Rotherham (h) ( 0 ) Total = 42 Morecambe play; Cambridge (a) ( 1-3 ) Charlton (a) (0) Portsmouth ( h) 1 MK Dons (a) (0) Sunderland (h) (o) Total = 40 -42 Fleetwood play; Accrington (a) (1 ) Oxford (h) (0-1) AFC Wimbledon (h) ( 3 ) Sheff Wed (h) (0) Bolton (a) (0) Total = 42-43. It won't be disastrous if Fleetwood were to drop points against Wimbledon... although I think that Fleetwood might be safe - however if they lose to the Wombles and Gills, their fans are going to need more than ONE SHEET - they'll need PLENTY !. It's going to be tighter than I'll need my bum to be .
Fear about Morcombe, they won last two games and scoring goals. They could be the ones who survive. Think Wimbledon will join Doncaster and Crewe which leaves either us or Fleetwood. The bank holiday fixture is massive
