Yep, excellent stuff. Going back to Hitler, I remembered last night that a museum in Gettysburg has blood stained fabric from the couch on which Hitler shot himself, a US Officer took it from the Hitler Bunker. I think it's in the process of being DNA tested. Would be more evidence to add to his death there but from what I remember in the last few years they've revealed other definitive evidence.
I just watched "Different League" on the BBC iplayer. The story of Derry City Football club a truly amazing story, well worth a watch.
On Netflix, Downfall - the case against Boeing. When safety is left in the dust because of corporate greed, the end result is hundreds of dead passengers and crew. Absolutely shocking documentary. The manner in which Boeing tried to blame foreign pilots and foreign airlines for a cost-cutting clandestine objective to not train crews about a new onboard feature (MCAS) which gave pilots, with absolutely no knowledge of its existence, a grand total of ten seconds to rectify the issue or die along with their passengers is scandalous. To then proceed without requesting the grounding of all 737-Max aircraft but instead, grudgingly provide paltry guidance to pilots (which ultimately proved useless in the case of the second crash) is inexcusable. Of course, Boeing have ultimately gotten away with it, paying off the requisite deposed chief exec with millions of stock bonds. All started with the integration of suits from McDonnell-Douglas merger who had a completely different philosophy to Boeing resulting in a movement away from safety first to Wall Street first.
One Of Us Is Lying - Netflix Don’t bother… nice whodunnit idea poorly executed and dragged out so that by the end I stopped caring.
Anyone watch the final episode of Peaky Blinders last night? It got progressive more over the top, series on series, but I thought this final series was very good and enjoyed the final episode.
Yes, I watched it. Thought it was done very well and leaves it open for a possible follow up film at some future date
I've never seen any episode of it apart from 20 minutes the other week . Just pondering wether I should after I've finished Better Call Saul
I stopped around Season 3 I think. Might pick it up again. Right now though, the series I'm enjoying the most is "From". Think it's Netflix.
Recently started watching Top Boy for the first time. Decent series. Reminds of a British version of The Wire (best TV series I’ve ever watched).
All I will say is this season is slow...but by all accounts the comics at this stage are quite uneventful as it closes out. So they don't have much to work with.
I read the comics when they finished, they really are very good. The problem is, The Walking Dead is Rick's story and to a lesser extent Carl's, without them in the television series it's a bit aimless and all over the job. Dragging the last comics out into a whole series without the main characters is a bit pointless in my opinion and I gave up after the first couple of episodes this last season. Fear The Walking Dead went mental after a promising start and World Beyond is painfully awful. They've over extended the universe and diluted the quality as a result. Hopefully the Rick Grimes films will be good but they've been delayed so long that I fear they've missed the hype that they spent ages building up.
The final season of Better Call Saul starts on the 18th and I can't wait. Bob Odenkirk is a great actor. He's also in a series I just watched on Prime called 'Undone' from the creators of Bojack Horseman. It's excellent although the 'rotoscoping' can take a bit of getting used to.
