Got better towards the end of the half but we haven't worked their Keeper yet. Hendrick stretched to reach a cross at the end but it was a bit too high for him and went wide.
Their goal... we could only have stopped that if we had been on the edge of their training pitches with binoculars for a couple of weeks. So, I can't really complain too much about that. And there was a nasty deflection for the keeper to deal with. Aside from that, there is no fluency among the players. This comes down to training being provided by the coaching staff and the small details the should be going through. There doesn't seem to be much cohesion and game plan anywhere in the middle, and there's certainly no connection between the attack and midfield. Just a massive gap there with no cooperation. Movement not good enough. Whenever anyone gets the ball, there's no one available for them to pass to, aside from backwards. Yes, Sheffield are pressing well, but we need to move into space. Lastly, we are not taking chances. We're just playing it safe and going backwards. This again is down to coaching. And perhaps lack of confidence. I have to say, we look like a poorly coached team who are not getting good quality training. He literally kicked him on purpose.
It's really cheap to criticise a player who literally broke into the team in the midst of the team being in terrible form. In this game and most others he's played, he hasn't done any worse than anyone else. Imagine how hard it is coming into a team who are playing this crap?
We really are too nice as a team...... 5 or 6 should have hounded the ref over that...... not an especially nice part of the game but every other side does it..... we have no street smarts
Hendrick completely mis-timed his jump. Should have been an easy header. Only thing Chair has done all half is that cross.
They have made the strong start to the 2nd half. Could have easily been 2. Hendrick feeds Chair who cut in but shot wide.
