The only Everton that will ever score in the Champions League.

Jurgen Klopp confirms FULL squad available for trip to Benfic
Liverpool find themselves in an enviable position with a fully fit squad for Jurgen Klopp to select from ahead of the trip to Benfica in the first leg of the quarter-final Champions League tie.

The Reds were handed a major boost with Trent Alexander-Arnold named on the bench in the win over Watford, with initial reports suggesting the trip to Man City was even touch and go.

But with a string of training sessions under his belt, he is ready for his return, while knocks to Curtis Jones and Joel Matip over the weekend cleared up quickly.

It left only question marks over Naby Keita after missing international duty with Guinea and Saturday’s win due to a minor knee injury, but he was present for training on Monday.

The session saw Klopp oversee a 28-man squad, all with a clean bill of health to leave the Reds nicely positioned ahead of their trip to Portugal and for the weeks ahead.

“Yes, full squad available for the game, absolutely,” Klopp confirmed in his press conference on Monday afternoon.

Yeah, those three weeks of easy games should build the confidence before the real challenge begins... :bandit:

Would love this to be easy but at this level of the competition there's no way games. I'd love a win of any kind and take that back to Anfield.

they have some threat no question but they also leave the dead slow lads alone at the back so i can see a chance fest. If we can take the chances and they don't get past big al, thunderbird 2, the griaffe and the crap Brazilian then we will do well.

    and concede a lot.

I have faith in big al and vvd :emoticon-0165-muscl

no disrespect to them but i've heard this for years of all sorts of opponents.

People were telling us PSG were going to hammer us in the groups, then told us Porto were easy but bayern would hammer us and we walked past all of them for example in 2020 and the year before we were told city would trash us in the QF.

Benfica didn't want to play LFC I know that. after that I give them all respect as the deserve as a very good side and hope we take them apart and set up the twin city games as our big focus for the next 7 days.

    what a fortnight.

No more away goal we need to win so that we are not going to be under pressure In the return leg.

Benfica’s technical directors are believed to have been in contact with Wolves to gain advice on how to beat Champions League opponents Liverpool on Tuesday night.
The Reds take on the Portuguese side at Anfield in the quarter-finals of the competition as Jurgen Klopp’s side look to continue their pursuit of a historic quadruple. But Benfica won’t be a pushover.

I hope the wolves lad said well I wouldnt start with otamendi and vertonghen mate.

Seriously though we paste wolves a lot so the best they can offer is play 3 at the back and hoof is diagonally over trents head. The wold sk ows to try that.

I think Benfica are going to play like away team, taking into account what we did to their league opponent.
