After their relegation last season, with only seven league wins, they'll be hoping for an immediate return to the top flight. Their top scorer is Billy Sharpe, with 15 goals, and behind him is Morgan Gibbs-White, with 9 goals. As for us, after a better performance, but still a loss, against Fulham, debate is now in full flow about Warbuton's future. Whatever your stance on the manager, a win and we should be well back in the playoff mix...but, as has been proved over the last few weeks, who knows what line up is going to put out on Tuesday night, and how they'll play. Team News: QPR: Jordan Archer, David Marshall, Seny Dieng and Chris Willock will miss out for the R’s, with Stefan Johansen facing a late fitness check Sheffield United: Billy Sharp looks likely to miss out for the Blades, with John Fleck and Ben Osborn pushing for starts, but Charlie Goode remains side lined. Pre-match talk: Mark Warburton (QPR Manager): “Under the lights at a packed out Brammall Lane is always a great place to play football, but we go there with a lot at stake, and we have to make sure we produce a positive performance. “We were frustrated in the way Saturday ended, but we have looked back on the game, looked at what went wrong, and we have a big game now which is a chance for us to go and impress. Paul Heckingbottom (Sheffield United Manager): “We know it’s going to be tough, but one we are looking forward to. They have good players, they play good football, it’s two teams up near the top who are both fighting for points so it should be a good game.” ...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
I'm going to guess that we're scoring nil and losing this game 3 -1! And Billy Sharp who we should've signed ten years ago is going to score five of those.
Last week, l suggested we’d have a big win over Fulham….. and we lost 2-0 So, this week, l’m trying the George Constanza reversed theory strategy and hoping we lose this one. Hope it’s a big loss too! Sheffield Unit 3 - QPR 0
Probably not mate. We'll all just keep on whistling a happy tune whilst sinking lower and lower in the table.
I just have this feeling it may be his Waterloo if we put in a performance like the second half against Forest But it will depend if they have someone else lined up
Except they've got Olie McBurnie who's scored 7 goals in 84 appearances as a striker for them, makes ours look prolific ............ so bound to score....... hey ho!!!!!
You were saying the same at the end of 2020, but went rather quiet for the next 13 months while we were one of the best performing teams in the League. I think we should give a Manager who has the best record since Warnock time to continue the improvements he has made over the last 3 seasons, rather than all this talk of sacking him if we play bad next game, 2nd half. Especially when our squad is decimated by injuries and loss of form to many of our best players.
Time to own up, who has been playing on Wikipedia? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Warburton#Queens_Park_Rangers "Following a disastrous transfer window, Warburton was sacked by Teflon Les in April 2022."
Don't let the truth get in the way of a good argument eh Ossie? What I actually said back then was that I was wrong and absolutely wanted Warburton to stay, as he'd turned things around. Having seen his absolute bollocks over the last couple of months I now conclude that I'd like someone else for next season. If he proves me wrong again I'll admit it again.
Hell I thought it was Wednesday we were playing not tonight..... the misery has been bought forward 24 hours..... A point would be okay to stop the rot but no good if play offs still an objective.....just can't see us winning but would love to be proved wrong.... C'mon Rangers
