Its not been all that but remember this. Swansea City did the double over Cardiff AND so did Bristol City. Thanks to Cardiff for being so nice and agreeable.
Made I larf - ..........until I remembered that they have made it into the Prem twice, whilst we have been faffing around in the lower leagues.
Just noticed this - made I larf as well........ Aye - the double over us and we're still above you in the table. If we're bad, you must be real ****e.
I've so missed this sort of thread over here pal - well done Red Alert. Come on you lot - fill yer boots. Who is the ****est is the question - moreover what do each of us have to do to avoid that dubious title for next season?
The main hope we have is that the teams that come up from L1 will be the Championship whipping boys again to ensure that we survive next season ! Talking of which, Rotherham are the perennial yo-yo club and Wigan will probably struggle too. If the likes of Plymouth, Wycombe, Oxford, MK Dons or even Sunderland make it then aside from the last one, who, if they get decent financial backing could be mid-table, then they will almost certainly go straight back down. Happy Days
The number of clubs that get a points deduction may save us both! Bollux - just remembered we may be one of them!!
Nah - we're going to sign a squad of world-class players and romp the league next season - just ask Red Robin!
Latest suggestion from one of OTIB's favourites, 'Latest5 hours ago, Davefevs said: Not easy to articulate, just a combo of things that might all add up. I think SL will react, they’ll have a disagreement and Nige will tell him some more home truths and tell him “I’m off, I don’t need this ****”. He’ll leave honourably, with no pay off and enjoy his health. And it would not surprise me if Lee Johnson takes us into next season.'
dia hor ea more like .... it is not impossible to avoid relegation with a points deduction ... had DERBY been a bit more honest ... accepted points deduction and gone down they could easily be back in Championship 2022/23 a 12 point deduction for them would have them closer to 37 points, without the daunting task may have gotten a few extra points to boot .... A friend of mind doesnt "follow city" as active supporter, but just keeps tabs on all local teams [ is / was an accountant ] says likely to be only 5 teams that could face a deduction in championship ... if EFL DECIDE TO punish, and not consider covid!
rock and hard place .. sell to buy and help debt [ we have stated to EFL that to balance our books we need to sell and Covid stopped that! ] so would make sense to help case v points, to sell 2 players! dame Nellie did it a few times after transfer window picked up released at last minute / during window players, players ditched by their teams who have experience and willing to play for reasonable wage / on a contract! A rolling 1 month contract might appear in the future ... !
Correct - and we're still above you and just 5 points behind the jacks - testicles still intact. Notwithstanding the "derby" point scoring, where the points come from giving you table position is irrelevant. Not saying I wouldn't have preferred not to suffer the ignominy of double "derby" defeats, but apart from threads like this, it's of little relevance. We've started a process of change over here, now what are you going to do over there to improve your position?
What hurts more. Us doing the double over you? The Jacks doing the double, with making them the only one to do the double in the Welsh derby? That must hurt as regardless if you do it next season they will always be the first to do it.
The jacks played us off the park in both games and deserved the points whereas there was very little in our games against you. Actually what hurts most is the 6 points we gave you will probably save you from relegation.
