As long as we don't get top four due to Chelsea being deducted points Mainly as I might have promised to run naked down my street if that happens...
Watching the Maxwell documentary on Beeb 2 , makes me shudder to think how close he came to buying this club , I would like to think that it was one of the crew who lobbed him overboard paid off by a loyal band of Spurs supporters Edit: I have a massive dislike for him and the family as my old man was one of the print workers that Maxwell robbed of their pension fund
It was 50 years ago today... https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/ne...teve-perryman-sinks-ac-milan-in-the-uefa-cup/ Love the fella. For me, he personifies everything that was good and decent about the club and football. Bob Paisley tried to buy him for Liverpool in '77, after we were relegated. He turned them down to play in Division 2 with us.....
I remember this game so well, I had just come out of hospital after one of many knee operations, still on crutches I made it from Tottenham Hale station and the place was packed , luckily a steward in the main stand took pity on me and got me a seat , got back to Euston to find all trains to Watford cancelled so an uncle who lived in Hoxton drove over to pick us up and put me and 3 mates up for the night ,years later I went to an evening with Stevie P and he told the story of how dirty AC were pinching spitting ,grabbing the balls was all part of their tactics , glad to say I recovered fast enough to make both legs of the final
I still have the ticket! West stand, Block K Row C Seat 14 Price £1.20. Along side that is a Goodbye Greaves Match ticket, 17th October, 1972, us v Feyenoord, price 70p. I remember that game well, very nostalgic. I have many other tickets & its nice to look back on them 50/60 years later!
Loved him. One of my all time favourite players. Bled Tottenham from his veins Still have the programme for that game. My memory of it - and most games of the time - was far superior to the reality! I know it was windy, but by **** there was some real hoofing going on! Also comforting to know we were equally **** at freekicks back then!
Sweden 15 Georgia 0 Poland 12 Armenia 0* Gee, I wonder why nobody takes women's football seriously...
Neil Warnock: Test your knowledge on the retired managerial legend - BBC Sport Shame they don't ask the question - Why is he known as Colin?
The quiz is wrong as well - they ask True or false time. Warnock has said that he doesn't want a minute's applause or clapping at football grounds after he has died but a minute of booing instead? This should be false as What Warnock actually said is that he wants a minute of the fans singing Warnock is a ****er.
Wrong, Colin is a ****er. Will always be liked in Cardiff for 2 good seasons. Least said about the third one the better although very poor official decisions probably got the club relegated back to the Championship. A reversed, blatant penalty decision at Burnley, thank you Mike Dean. And a linesman who didn't see an obvious offside by a Chavski scorer as Willian's hair blocked his view.
Got the Women's international on NI v Eng. They do like to say Ellen White is nearing Rooney's England scoring record. Is she **** though, you can't compare the 2 at all. After 7 games England have a goal difference of +67. I'd notch a few in that standard.
