Had a 3 hour Teams meeting yesterday the level of idiot was quite astounding. If it wasn't for me there would be hardly any normal people on there.
Gonna ride out to an old bronze age village that's just been uncovered down here, will take the dog and knacker it out. Then got some work to do this afternoon, then probs take my little un swimming after school. 6 hours of office meetings sounds hellish
I used to despise long ass meetings like that. I had to chair most of them when I used to do a proper job, so at least I could manage the agenda and call them to an end before I wanted to blow my brains out.
The only time I appreciated being in an office was when it was pissing down outside and I could make coffee and pretend I was doing some work Otherwise, I was always like a dog at the window waiting for its owner to come home and take it out
At my point in life it's the perfect job, done the outdoor stuff and long shifts and now that I need to be indoors and sat down I am. It's easy work with very little stress. Changing to Flexi as well so I can just do my hours when I want to and take my breaks whenever I want.
Yeah, sounds good mate. If you can make a job work for you, rather than the other way around, then it's always a good job. Tbh, a lot of what I do is hard graft. It's a quite a physical job that you're on your feet all day with. Lugging **** around, doing deliveries, taking boxes to and from here and there, setting up, packing down, loading and unloading etc. Plus making it all, lugging 30kg sacks around. I sound like Comm
On train to Londinium ... might play spot the Gooner / Spud once in the office... should be pretty easy this morning ...
Up here atm. Old Bronze Age village that was recently discovered after being hidden under gorse and braken for about 4000 years. To the untrained eye it’s just a bunch of old rocks. But this was somebody’s gaff thousands of years ago. Might bring the bivvy up here in the summer and sleep out under the stars
