"Im sorry if im coming across like abit of an asshole on this thread" Everyone is entitled to their opnion Goss old bean, no harm done. BTW, there may be such an item as a pedalstool, but I certainly wouldn't put Crouchie or anyone else on one.
Ask a stupid question....lol When he first came to Norwich he actually did ok. Had bags of pace. He always made errors, but usually his pace got him out of jail. By the end there were so many errors that even his quick feet could not retireve.
He was okay to be fair. Poor positioning and tackling, but he was a decent stop-gap and was an improvement on the out-of-position Lloyd James.
I have been reading your dribble all the way through........You mention about Saints fans coming to Portsmouth and tearing the place down. Ok You would be right......but it is not by any means one sided.....even when our stadium was being built a mob from Pompey came to the site and did as much Damage as they could. You did notice I did not call them "Pompey fans" In truth they are no fan of any football club Pompey or Saints!! Any one that advocates violence of any kind is no football fan!! You say you are entitled to an opinion, so you are. No one would knock you for that, but if you are going to air your opinion just make sure what you say is at least reasonably accurate. Just because you live in Portsmouth does not mean that we would call you a skate nor would we expect you to call us a scummer. That is just terms of endearment if you like between two sets of football fans. Which again shows your lack of knowledge about the History between Southampton and Portsmouth and Southampton and Norwich. The fact you have been told by a large number of Fans on here about the affiliation between Saints and Norwich from both camps does it really matter for the why....just that it is. As for the special coaches to Portsmouth.....that is not the first time it has been done. However Portsmouth too have their hooligan element as I have already spoken about....and it is not just to prevent damage it is to prevent injury to fans other than the hooligan elements in both camps. People like you by the sound of it from your statements so far trying to drum up dislike and distrust. As other posters have suggested if you do not like what you read on here go and join another board that perhaps. has ideas more to your way of thinking......incidentally that won't be the Pompey board , you might get the odd one agree but not in the way you might think!
I have to say I thought the fans were being bussed to protect them not to protect the Fratton area from major destruction. Though I suppose Nicola doesn't want any trouble that can be put at Southampton's door.
Isn't it Ironic that it was at Fratton where Norwich secured promotion With the Final Saints-Pompey derby being 5 games from the end would it be too early for Saints to secure promotion against the same opo? To be honest, it probably is. The champ is a very tight league and it is rare for things to be settled early.
At the beginning of the season I thought Pompey might be relegated, but I think they'll get enough points to stay safely above the bottom three. I think the leadership will chop and change a bit as the season progresses and 5 games from the end will probably be too early to settle it, but we'll certainly be desperate for 3 points against any opposition.
Either accurately describes my meaning however I said dribble and meant dribble..............In nautical terms mine has a slightly different slant!! Hey who cares..........
it was meant to be that you returned to the prem by beating pompey at falling down park/nottarf krap back in May.
@beddytar Well it just is then!! Ok, good reason. Haha Hey, when you grow up in these parts you can feel the hatered from both sides. And your right its not just always on the pitch. I have seen some nasty characters from your side of the boarder and im sure visa versa. Even the word scummer derived from off the pitch, when pickett fences were broken, so dont say i dont know what im talking about. Look, my initial post was meant to be tongue in cheek, but to hear my norwich fans chanting 'soton, soton!!' i felt i needed to ask the question why? But hey you guys have love for each other, so the world is a brighter place. I may even go up saint marys on saturday in my norwich shirt and cheer u guys on myself!!! Look for the only one wearing yellow.
