Burnley have a big opportunity now. They have Everton and Norwich back to back, then us at home after West Ham. I will happily donate 3 points to them if it meant Everton go down.
Watford also have some very kind fixtures this month. The problem with both sides though is that, well, they're Watford and Burnley. It's difficult to be confident that either of them will actually take advantage of their fixtures. To be honest, I'm half expecting it to all be over this time next week. Everton beating Burnley, Leeds beating Watford, Burnley failing to beat Norwich: that would hardly be a shock set of results. But hopefully not.
Oh for sure, it's horrendous. But in my book, only two home wins (Burnley) is even worse than only one away win (Everton). Both sides are awful. So all three results are very possible.
Having a world class manager certainly helps in raising the level of players that have underperformed since Poch was sacked. Could they catch a badly out of touch Chelsea?
No chance of that I'd say. Wasn't that Chelsea's first league defeat since January? They'll finish 3rd comfortably imo.
It was just possible that Chelsea had their minds on Real Madrid, while Brentford were really fired up for this.
