I would like this to turn into a bit of rivalry again, and it's always a good occasion. We haven't played them forever because we always miss each other in league, but I remember the 2-0 in the championship. Full house and us all dancing when we scored. It felt close enough to the tyne-wear derby to be fun.
If they do get promoted they'll just go straight down again. Boro have long since stopped by a top flight team or anything even near one.
It would be an opportunity to wave at our closer neighbours on the way to and from the NE Premier League derby games.
It NEVER EVER EVER was a rivalry. It was quite frankly pathetic and small time that they were desperate to relevant to both us and the Mackems. They should stick to their rivalries with Sedgefield, Hartlepool and Scarborough. I would however like the Mackems back in the PL.
It's a club that would be in the PL that's in the NE. It's the closest thing we're going to get at the moment.
I do want them back in the PL for the derby. I miss the derby. I would also like to win one of the bastards sooner rather than later before they start some bus parade off due to it being quarter of a century since they lost one and produce some mystical cup that only gets mentioned if they finish above us like the North East Top Dogs Trophy.
My dad is like that, i wind him up and call him a mackem sympathiser. It means that you want the mackems to do well, can't be having that.
I don't, i'm quite happy for them to bounce between championship and PL so we play them every couple of years, They're too **** to make it to the 2nd round of the league cup or 3rd round of FA Cup
Eh, for them to bounce between PL and Champ means they have to do well from where they are now, therefore you want them to do well.
I hate being outside in the sun around other people... I like food on my own. Barbecues are for the uncivilised and unevolved imo. Each to their own
