seems some keep transponders on all the time .. I use ADS -B exchange .. can isolate military .. not found that on FD! .. Strato tankers have a habit of " being there" but from where? or suddenly appearing closer to home having appeared according to flight path from somewhere over Poland. A couple days ago a a us spy plane was at 58,000ft for something like 12 hours +++ picked it up early in day and on and off till late night when it was still going its pattern was like marking the area with a thick marker pen! .. fighters last night turned their transponders on and off! ... guess bit like playing tag!
Quite busy today a first is SPYPLANE nato11.. usually nato1 or nato2 ...and 1 skytanker!
conscripts do a year! so called! how many of the ones being withdrawn are at end of the year? or will they be forced to fight on ... would surely take quite a few months to get some trained! bearing in mind if took a 1000 males of the street only about 200 would pass muster after 2 month's! and 50 would be front line prospects after 9 month's ......

Mind games from a person who has been so clearly brainwashed to believe anything coming out of the Kremlin. When ever this situation comes to an end I would like to take all of the followers of a murdering liar forcibly down to Ukraine to view all the apartment blocks that have been totaled by her pure and innocent troops. She would definitely say that all the damage was done by Ukrainians so they could blame Russians and that it was probably done by all the Nazis that Putin warned about. The horror stories coming out of Ukraine are shocking and a sad reflection that the world has not learnt from the past and probably never will regrettably.

Putin's level of brutality knows no bounds as he has already done it in Georgia, Chechnya and Syria where he did a Hitler move and loaned his air force to blow towns apart rather like Guernica in the Spanish Civil War. You only have to look at videos of the damage in all of the countries that Putin has used his criminal comrades to do the dirty work destroying everything civilian. The MO is exactly the same in all theatres of mayhem and murder and unless we expunge this piece of filth from the planet he will continue unabated until he is six feet under. The world desperately needs some of his top followers to push him off his perch and then stop this mass murder in Ukraine because the world is watching Russia like a hawk to further remove them from inclusion in the real world.

    Genuine question;
Why don't the Ukranian knock out (sabotage) the Russian gas pipelines?
If the likes of France, Germany and particularly India still want to consume Russian Gas why don't the Ukranians cut the supply?

There is no gas pipeline to India. The RCI (Russia/China/India) scheme has been proposed for years but has never got off the ground.

The block on opening the Nordstream 2 gas pipeline has meant the pipelines through Ukraine are very important to a quite few countries. Also sabotaging the exisiting Nordstream 1 pipeline would not best please those European countries, particularly Germany who depend upon it.

There are Russian gas and oil piplines running through Ukraine which could be targeted but that would severley piss off countries like Bosnia, Macedonia, Moldova, Serbia, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Croatia who depend upon them.

Any pre emptive action by the Ukraine would be way off the horizon unless they had nothing to lose by doing so.

good question... the answer is relatively simple ... most of the gas for Europe comes from the Baltic terminal ns1! .. the pipes through UKRAINE ... Russia pays for!.. a payment made via discounted gas???? bit like solar panels you have the panels and grid gets the benefit [ some companies used to give you free panels and you got paid pro rata on supply ] basically free electric! India pipeline different

Response to inver... it just goes to show when you do not put your foot down when atrocities like in Iraq and Syria WERE NOT dealt with strongly then evil beings like Putin feel beefed up that they are beyond reproach. they believe they can get away with it because no one really cares!

Here is one for you ..... Putin made a speech at the stadium celebrating the Crimea anniversary! ... part way through it cut off to music from a different source ... Putin was still in the Kremlin at the time .. its not only cheap labour, via conscripts in the army... that let you down!!! ... digital recordings sometimes go wonky!!!

hopefully an international team of Investigators from the Hague will soon be in and around Kiev ........ Maxar & Marsat will have 1000's of photo's IF NOT 000,000's! they resolution of some of them as good as we were used to when 2.0 mega pixel was all the rage......

Monitoring military cargo planes and troop modified planes over the last 3 or 4 days I have a list of 40 or so from USA / CANADA .. when they get into North Atlantic there beacons disappear! Have only picked up a couple when over Poland or flying back over UK! they can carry 70 plus tonnes over 2500mile and refuel in flight [ over EUROPE OFTEN THERE IS 2 or 3 strato tankers .... ] they may even refuel each other! to stay in air longer! Iceland seems to be a point for some to stop either way! 40 cargo loads would be approaching 3,000 tonnes!

One of the biggest issues for Ukraine is not to lose Odessa because it would make them a landlocked country and that's what Russia wants to happen. NATO and the EU need to flood the area surrounding Odessa with missile seeking defences to cut off the possible capture of the last port available to Ukraine. I just heard on CNN that Russia has probably mined ports along the Black Sea in Romania and Bulgaria to stop military supplies landing in those countries supporting Ukraine in it's fight for survival. One pundit has questioned as to why NATO doesn't have a large naval presence in the Black Sea to hopefully stop the missiles being launched from these platforms or at least make them think twice about those actions. The brutality of the Putin regime has no limits and I watched a video just now showing a woman mourning the loss of her son who was shot by Russian soldiers who took over their house and then stayed and partied and after they finally left the garden was strewn with empty liquor bottles. Russia has long been known for it's brutality, and not just in war situations, and now the entire world can clearly see what their aggression has brought to Ukraine and unless they are stopped the whole situation will only get worse.

We must ask ourselves how long will this be allowed to continue and at what point will retribution be inflicted on Russia by the rest of the sane world? I would think we could help more by supplying weaponry that would allow Ukraine to expand their fight out into the Black Sea and Russian lands somewhat like the fuel storage tanks just over the border. Russia is trying to build a supposedly solid wall around Ukraine where we fear to tread and so we have to arm them to allow missiles, or whatever, to hit Russian targets especially those that are currently being used to bombard Ukraine without flying over their territory. The fight needs to be taken down the Russian's throats, wherever that may be, and until such time as that happens Putin will be able to continue his murderous ways. There will be worse to come and it will continue until someone makes bold decisions.

Interesting to hear that the newly re-elected PM of Hungary (Viktor Orban) has been criticising the Ukraine PM Zelensky, yet denounced Russia for the invasion.
Makes you wonder if Hungary actually want to rejoin the old Soviet bloc and give up their democracy.

Has to also be said that France and Germany have been particularly crap during this conflict, and surprisingly it's Boris getting the plaudits.

Yes, but right now the gas and oil consumption by these countries are funding Putin's war.
If they were to be, lets say 'disabled' it would cut off that funding.
It's a legitimate target in war.

Take your point but it would be like turkeys voting for Christmas though.

Ukraine's gas utility company Ukransgaz gets paid a shedload of money by Russia's Gazprom for facilitating the supply through their country.

Gazprom have said there is no change to that arrangement. Gas is flowing normally and they are paying for the use of Ukraine's pipeline system.
