The final score flattered us to say the least but overall it was yet another pathetic display throughout our team today. We look more like a team that hasn't met each other every time we go out there on the pitch. There was a point towards the end when we had 5 players marking nobody and nothing whilst Bournemouth just played their game and made us look even worse. To be brutally honest the rebuild under Nigel Pearson looks to be falling apart on every level and I can't see what the hell he can do for any chance of redemption. How on earth can we continue to serve up this dross and consider that we have made any improvement and is there really any chance given our financial restrictions to make it better for next season?

For what it's worth we almost look as if we need a serious, brutally serious, clear out of players who don't seem interested in playing for Bristol City. As a final note the commentators said there were some positives to be taken from the game and for the life of me I can't see what they are talking about. If I were NP I would run for the hills at the end of the season because I expect to be saying exactly the same in November because I question whether or not he will be given the backing from Lansdown. How many more times do we need to be told that all is under control when today proved beyond a doubt that we are nowhere near close to that ideal situation or have a chance of getting there any time soon?

Shocking times all around for me.

Just a short while ago Bournemouth were whipping boys with crowds of just a few thousand.
Always took a great following down there, City were the big club.
Now, they can spend £20million on one of our kids as well as being favourite to go up.

How the **** did that happen ?

They had a rich owner, a manager who was on a run, who decided to gamble and go for it one season. They took their chance and it paid off. They got a fine, but was peanuts compared to what they were earning then in the Prem.

The difference is one team has gotten away with industrial and blatant misuse of FFP rules and are rewarded with parachute payments, that is what is worrying and we were worrying about our record losses, which were then dwarfed by Stokes losses, of course Bournemouth will get away with it once more and we will have to sweat to see if we are punished, that’s what is worrying, the unfair advantage afforded to the likes of Bournemouth.

Because people are clamouring for Wells to start and he was poor yet again, his positioning for breakaways was pathetic.
Today the game was lost in midfield to a man our passing was awful and they offered no protection to the defence.

Exactly this but of course there are ‘some’ that are either ignorant to this or believe that somehow it is the fault of our club and not the corrupt and obvious rule breaking and the way that the EFL deal with some clubs as opposed to others, it is another reason that the way football is administered sucks.

    spot on

we all new today was damage limitation-however the first goal offside-Chris Martin blatant penalty.
    Var for the championship.
Another defeat but they had players costing 30 mill on the pitch.
    Be realistic boys.
They are a quality side and we should have had something from the game.
God your doom and gloom the majority of you.

I have constantly asked the glee club to name a manager who could make this squad consistent and they cannot answer, part of me would love to see Pearson sacked and see the next man fail, as he undoubtedly will and then what next? And we all know if Pearson is sacked Fleming will get the job that’s how SL operates.
And now they are ignoring the corrupt and far from level playing field operating with teams like Bournemouth, Fulham, West Brom, Sheffield Utd etc. to further put the boot in.

we should have had something today a penalty could have changed the outcome as for the first goal shocking by the officials.
If I was NP I would be writing to the powers that be about decisions in the championship this season.
    Shocking standards

Yep but of course yet again some people on here say it is wrong to criticise the officials, because apparently it is an excuse.

I’m sure they want NP and city to fail
NP clearly told us fans it was a consolidation season.
But they still expect him to click his fingers and all will be Dandy.

If you are looking for someone who doesn't like the refereeing then it must be me but in defence you can't blame all your losses on the officiating. The fact of the matter is we have a useless squad who couldn't punch their collective way out of a wet paper bag and even worse is there doesn't appear to be anybody at Bristol City who has spotted the problem and that has to include Pearson. Something or someone has to have the balls to stand up and be counted and although we thought we had pulled a rabbit out of the hat with NP I regret to say the song remains the same and it's falling down the charts. Help.

Firstly I think you need to catch up a little, Pearson knows exactly what the problem is with the ‘useless squad’ he inherited.
What exactly do you expect him to do with this ‘useless squad’? and do you honestly believe that there is a manager that could make them consistent?
As for the refereeing I would normally agree with you, but over the past 10 games the officiating has been outrageous and the wrong decisions are not even close to being contentious.
