I may be in a tiny minority but I'm pleased Evans is there. He was our best player at Lincoln imo. Even more pleased to see Pritchard back.
I reckon Neil's gone for more experience rather than youth. I like Matete and he's got time on his side but to get out of this league we need players who's got the t-shirt rather than potential.
if they click, they should be lethal what’s up with Matete? Maybe just needs a bit rest. That is a bloody good bench too
Yeah and i can vaguely remember another decent performance against someone, and that proves my point. His good games are few and far between. He offers very little imo. He gets picked because of his experience and not his ability which i think is wrong. Matete and Neil offer so much more and shouldn't be benched for him.
I dont agree mate. We need our best 11 on the pitch, not someone thats been there and done it before for another club. Evans is our 4th best central mid. 5th if you count Winchester in
That shows how anonymous Dan Neil often is when many people, myself included, would choose Matete above him ... ... personally I think that with all those attack minded midfield players we need Evans there. O'Nien and Matete together are too unpredictable.
I remember people at the start of the season who thought Pritchard was crap and offered nothing to the team. Once he got up to speed he showed what he can do but Evans has had a stop start season with injuries. He's not gonna be another Bally who'll bollock teammates but I reckon he'll do the job that's asked of him
Like I said he hasn't had a proper run off games until recently but he's wearing a Sunderland strip, the manager/head coach has put him in the team and I'll back him
