Ok performance from Jones but didn’t have much impact on the game. Jota getting some decent headed chances but need to start hitting the target.
Thiago just bit complacent. Does have that in his game sometimes. Been very good today though other than 1 or 2 moments.
Clear pen. But happens every game numerous times and then sometimes isn’t given. never know what to think of those ones. If you hug s player to the ground with back to the ball you can’t really complain though.
Pundits will moan about how that kind of thing happens every week, but if fouls are given for it then it won't.
Looks a better pen taker than Salah who generally just goes for pure power. Fab always looks more composed and placement
I feel we struggle with jota and firmino on at tge same time, we lose to much on the wings without gaining anything through the centre.
Yup. I don’t think anyone can ever moan when they are given. Just annoying if you concede one but think should also have some yourself earlier in game. if refs are consistent with it then no problem.
Agreed. Thing is firm link up is good but Jota is such a goal threat, hard to get them both into the team and be effective
I've often wondered if a front 3 of mane/Diaz jota salah With firmino sat deeper as a more attacking midfielder would work well Thiago and fab sat in front of the defence maybe
Jota is such a frustrating player. Good today and showed how good he can be when he runs with the ball but on another day the game would just pass him by.
