Australia lost all of their reviews in the last test against Pakistan - I think that made them all the more determined to win really.
Verstappen will be happier then ! Hamilton a bit unlucky to miss out on a key pit stop at the right time . Glad Norris got some points .
Another race in the USA , this time Las Vegas - guess that is where the money and glamour is? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/60932994 On a Saturday night though.
Australia set Pakistan a competitive total of 349 to chase.in today's ODI - after a very good knock of 104 in 108 balls by Billy the Kid's son Ben McDermott.
Last wicket partnership of 44 slightly saves Australia's blushes in the ODI against Pakistan - all out for 210. Shouldn't take Pakistan long to overtake that...
Perhaps unsurprisingly given their general dominance of the tournament Australia beat England in pretty convincing fashion .
Was at the game with Miss NZ, who thoroughly enjoyed it. I told her that I would take her but that we were not leaving after an hour. She asked if we could leave at 4.30. At 5 she asked if we could leave at 6. We finally left at 7 when she was feeling the cold but only on the condition that she was allowed to watch the end of the game on television. We have another cricket convert.
Well done Miss NZ... My two nieces in Oz are both sports freaks (one of them runs a gym and CrossFit club in Sydney) - both are passionate about cricket, rugby union and rugby league and attend all the international/interstate matches that they can. They both have two daughters who are following in their footsteps too - attending ODI matches is a real family affair, and rather expensive.
It's so good to have Cricket back on terrestial tv and to see Anderson & Broad working in tandem again. Hopefully McCullum will bring some common sense back into selection and teach us how to bat, as could so effectively.
BBC had highlights for a couple of years now . They might have one or two One Day Internationals live later in the summer.
