I think this table shows how battered the Pozzos reputation is now to those looking in from the outside. Mind you looking at the percentages they aren't alone in that regard.
And apparently the same people disapprove of them on the issue of how damaging they are to football in England. Personally I don't see that at all - perhaps it's more a case of jealousy because we regularly punch above our weight. please log in to view this image
It’s only because we sack a load of managers . As we know the media don’t like it. And certainly there is a much more toxic , entitled element in our fan base now. Much more than ever. Almost as if struggling to stay up was a complete shock and surprise to them Sure the performances could be better no doubt and some players haven’t produced their best but I sense some expected to be doing much better . I can see attendances dropping next season if we go down by 1/2k - particularly for mid week games.
To counter that, perhaps someone should start producing stats on the number of players sacked/dumped/sold by clubs as well. Every club has a high turnover of playing staff, yet apparently it's only the sacking of non-performing managers that raises eyebrows? Seems illogical to me that getting rid of players who haven't lived up to expectations is acceptable but getting rid of managers for similar reasons isn't. Mind you, we've probably had more than our own fair share of dud players, so the media focus on us probably would stay the same.
I have seen a few club statements over the years, both from Watford and other clubs, but never anything of this magnitude. For a non league side to find itself at the centre of so many illegal activities seems quite extraordinary. http://stainestownfootballclub.co.uk/urgent-club-statement/
The owners have responded denying the allegations. https://www.downing.co.uk/news/down...xon-on-the-staines-town-football-club-website
They're really making a meal out of the World Cup draw .. England drawn against Iran, USA and either Wales, Scotland or Ukraine.
You just know after all the hype of the "Battle of Britian" potential fixtures Ukraine will get through.
