Yeah just got an email saying my direct debit is being upped to £360 a month for electric and gas, plus council tax is now £300. ****s
The other one to bear in mind, is that if your old energy supplier doesn't send you a final bill within 12 months of you switching, then OFGEM rules state that they can't charge you for it. Comes under the back billing rules. I only know this as my old leccy supplier went into liquidation recently, but I'd already switched back in Jan 2021. They were trying to chase me for a £221 bill, but didn't send it to me until Feb of this year. Or you could just send them Mike Tyson gifs
Energy supplier: "Hello Mr Libby, please see attached for your bill of £1100 covering the last 6 months. Please arrange payment within 14 days" Libby:
My gas & electric is only £82 per month despite the fact i really really need to replace the windows however i recently had a snotty e-mail from my energy company stating i hadn't sent them a meter reading for 10 months which may explain that I had actually sent in a meter a reading about 6 weeks ago never mind about 3 others in that 10 month time period but i'm happy to stay at £82 p.m plus i'm in credit by £25
Make sure you have dated photgraphic evidence of all readings you've taken. Trust me they can come in very handy.
Did that this evening, even though I’m on smart meters. Not sure if my phone can put a date stamp on the photos, so I emailed them to myself as the email will be dated.
i was going to but having spent the end of the walk with the little fooker in a blizzard and hearing that most big energy sites were down i thought **** it get inside and have a coffee and a big splash of whisky
