Yeah, sometimes Windows is a bit ****ty during updates. It gives you periods of blank screen instead of telling you what it's doing.
When it happened to me I was trying to stream a Norwich game and ended up losing my **** and destroyed it. You are probably better off just leaving it and don't fiddle about . Pretty sure I got a disk with it to install the operating system but binned it first day along with the instructions manual.
