Lol, not bovvered then <laugh>

In all honesty Flos, the reason people poke you is precisely because of the above.

You just need to learn to take it on the chin now and again (and keep your replies more concise) <cheers>

Ponky ... why are you on here if not to be poked? ... and I do what I want fella ... certainly not going to comply to the standards of the less imaginative and the sheeples <laugh>

I think the HOF should be reserved for the very best players who achieved great things at their clubs.

Players like Henry, Keane, Ferdinand, Vieira, Bergkamp, Aguero etc.

I also think there are some stand out players like Shearer and Le Tissier who might not have won things with their clubs, but who clearly had something special. Harry Kane would fall into this category too

For me, players like Vardy, Trippier, Walker, whilst decent players. Should be nowhere near the HOF

So would you say Ian Wright belongs in there Ponky? ... if yes please explain ... given that Jamie Vardy holds more Prem goalscoring records and you don't think he should ... take your time ... you may need to think for once <cheers>

What goal scoring records does Vardy hold over Ian Wright ?

Last time I checked Ian Wright had 185 goals for Arsenal, Vardy had 148 for Lesta

career goals Wright has 313, Vardy 203

Wright also has more trophies in his honours list.

He scored a few goals in the joint highest prem win ever, the ultimate accolade

Well the record for consecutive Prem game goals scored that he took from Ruud Van Nistelrooj and the record for Prem goals scored since turning 30 which he took from Ian Wright (the only Prem goalscoring record that Wright held) ... and don't forget Ponks ... as Sucky stipified... this is solely about the Prem ... other trophies and successes don't count ... and there is of course the small matter of the Prem Golden Boot.. Vardy won it in 2019-20 ... Ian Wright never did win one... bless.

So what I think you are saying behind all the usual splutter and evasion ... is that you don't think Ian Wright should be included in the Premier League Hall of Fame ... please correct me if I've misunderstood... and thanks for playing <laugh>

<laugh> ****in hell

Okay Flos, we can create a special ‘most goals in consecutive games for old codgers’ award if you like for Vardy

and put Ian Wright in the actual HOF

Just as I thought ... Haggy had you well and truly measured mate ... <laugh>

You’re a lost cause Flossy. <laugh>

You’ve just claimed that Vardy’s goal scoring records are better than Ian Wright’s and then tried pass off the ‘consecutive goals for old codgers’ title as evidence

He scored a few goals in the joint highest prem win ever, the ultimate accolade

Flossy also wants to claim the ‘striker who looks most like a rag n bone man’ award as evidence that Vardy should be in the HOF <laugh>

Ponky... I realise you are not the sharpest... but the question I posed you this morning was rather simple, even for you ...whether you considered Ian Wright should be in the HoF and, if so, why ... you dodged the question... as is your nature.

All you had in response were predictable Steptoe references ...

Once more you demonstrate your scratch & sniff knowledge of football, my friend... but the facts are there for all bothered to look. Vardy does indeed hold the Premier League record for scoring in consecutive games and the HoF is, supposedly, about those that have stood out in that particular league for their achievements in it ... that you would try to belittle those achievements whilst not being able to make a case for your own club's player more or less sums you up... lots of hot air and posturing, but no real substance and nothing much of value to add to any debate. <cheers>
