Good Morning. It's Thursday 31st March, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Radz in no hurry to sell In an angry exchange of words on social media platform Twitter, Andrea Radrizzani defended his position as Leeds Utd owner and claimed that when the day comes that he is no longer able to deliver, he will 'let someone else do a better job', but has insisted that it would be some time until that happened. The fiery Italian took to his keyboard after a Leeds fan claimed that Radz had only gambled 40m of his own money in the club. Radrizzani retorted:- "100 million precisely, and lots of work and time sacrificed to my family". "I always try and work hard for the best of the club. "The moment I realise I won't be able to deliver I will let someone else do a better job. "That moment is still far by the way. "I believe in the team, the manager and everyone behind the club. Whilst injuries have certainly taken its toll on the squad this term, they don't seem to be playing with the same freedom and confidence as last season when the turnstiles were virtually empty! In the past, sections of the Leeds crowd can be quite unforgiving, though, to give them their credit, the ER faithful have gone beyond the call of duty this season to rally the troops since the 21/22 campaign kicked off last August. Results also indicate Leeds have played better away from home. Apart from Crystal Palace, Leeds only other home wins have been against the bottom three. On their travels, Leeds have recorded victories over West Ham and Wolves (and Norwich) where expectations were lower. please log in to view this image Leeds have shipped 44 goals in 16 games since Phillips injury There's an interesting piece penned by a Leeds-Live journalist relating to how Kalvin Phillips inclusion impacts on his team-mates. The article claims that Phillips defensive responsibilities will allow the likes of Ayling, Klich and Raphinha to venture forward more, allowing them to play to their strengths. Phillips has been missing from action since tearing his hamstring during the 2-2 draw against Brentford back in December. The absence of the defensively minded Phillips was plain to see. In the sixteen games he has missed, Leeds have shipped 44 goals. please log in to view this image Neville taken aback by how positive players spoke of Marsch Former player, now pundit Gary Neville spoke of his shock of how quickly the Leeds players have taken to Jesse Marsch. Speaking on media platform 'The Overlap', the former Manchester Utd and England defender expected the former Bielsa disciples to be more resistant to change after working under the Argentine for four years. “I spoke to a couple of the Leeds lads, I know one of them really well, and I said ‘what is he like?’ An open ended question. They said ‘really impressive, his sessions have been fantastic, really good.’ I didn’t expect that answer from the two Leeds lads I spoke to because I imagined they’d be so Bielsa-mad with what he’s done there, but they actually spoke really well of him. I wouldn’t say anything if they hadn’t done, but they were really positive about his energy, the spirit and I thought, yeah, fair enough,” please log in to view this image
Good morning i expect Jessies Jeans to be on sale in the club shop soon. As for Rads he can spin all the **** he likes. What happened to speculate to accumulate. Also he did loan some money but that was paid back. I think he needs to sell as he is not willing to invest in the squad. All i see is someone out of his depth in this league. The big boys are coming out to play now and will not let him join in. Why should the 49ers line his pockets even more? Would you?.
With regard to Radz we have a few in here who detest him. I find the whole thing ridiculous as we have been in the doldrums for 15 years until he arrived. Radz should be thanked not battered. The reason he takes shyt is simply because hes not a billionaire. Talking about the players freezing at ER isnt right. I know there are those who dont think injuries have been a major problem, but I do. On Saturday you will see what we havent seen all season, you will find almost a full healthy squad except for Bamford, Roberts and Firpo, so in reality only missing Paddy. I think you will see a fast start and a confident team
Who detests rads? I don't know of any on here that do. I certainly don't but feel he has failed to buy any strikers.. Mids or fullbacks to take us forward.in fact progress has ground to a halt and we are hanging on. We need a left back and two mids as none of the existing or u23s are good enough. Since roofe left we had only bamford which is pathetic for a club like Leeds.
Morning all. More old news to try and fill a few pages before the proper footy returns. Much preferred it when you could just oggle the female anatomy on P3 to wile away a few hours
He said players that have been coached by Bielsa for the past few years so that would rule out James surely?
Rodrigo was at Valencia when G Nev was coach and they both have close ties to Peter Lim (Valencia owner).
could be... though neville has commented on air once how crap Rodrigo was for him - though he admitted it might have been his fault for playing him out of position. Whatever out of position is for a player who doesn't seem to have a position. Whichever... didn't sound like they were best mates.
It’s not Radrizzani’s fault that Firpo is pants though. His job was to put up the money for his signing - which he did. He then has to assume that whoever watched him play and thought he’d be a decent signing knew what they were doing - which they didn’t. After seeing how much of his money has been wasted I wouldn’t blame him for being reluctant to part with much more.
100% this, for a promoted team after 2 seasons to have spent as much as we have is pretty good. I don’t think we could ask for much more tbh. Signing decent replacements and upgrades is not his job, the scouts and Orta need to be finding the right players because we have spent a decent amount and the players being bought that aren’t good enough isn’t on Radz.
I work it out to be 132m on first team signings. Which is 66m per season. I’d say we need to be spending about 100-110m this year which will be more doable due to being in the PL still and depending on selling players - what’s needed is a ST (25m) CAM (25m), CM (20m), LB (15m), RB (15m)(unless Drameh is looked at as the Ayling replacement) and a GK (10m). Rodrigo - 30m James - 25m Llorente - 18m Raphinha - 17m Koch - 13m Firpo - 13m Harrison - 11m Meslier - 5m
