Funny how they’ve just “discovered” this out now, pretty sure it won’t be front page headlines, or the leading story on the news. Just waiting for something major to come along so they can bury it in the bottom corner somewhere!
I wonder what they’ll “discover” about the war when something else is hitting the headlines?

Couldn’t be that it was useful to ensure the data was woolly from the start just in case the results were unacceptably bad could it?

Hanlon's razor is an adage or rule of thumb that states "never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

It was locked in error and reinstated in a matter of hours, it’s what happens when sites are moderated by algorithms, rather than people.

In my hardly scientific, and grossly generalised opinion, the people that got hit the hardest seem to be those that hibernated themselves away, with those that tried to get on as normal getting mild to no symptoms. I'd guess that's because exposure to others encourages the body to develop natural immunities.

I put it down to the amount of time I've spent being raised by those lovely people in white coats.

Serious question 'Erm, I think'. The Missus has had flu symptoms for about two weeks now. She keeps testing neg for Covid though.

The usual flu doesn't normally last that long. Is there a chance that Covid is going undetected in her?

I know she should see a doctor about this, but she just won't go, (she's semi agoraphobic).

So come on lads and lasses, this is the first place to come when we run out of ideas.

Get her a PCR test - you don’t have to get out of the car.

You can also order [or could] a PCR test online* - it has to be posted back at specific post boxes [you are told] within so many hours of the test - * if she has agoraphobia / similar

interesting read, also he says that lockdowns should have actually happened earlier.

If we ever get a full inquiry it will be interesting, but as a lay person I get the sense some issues were caused by the Govt not taking a strong enough position one way or the other and flip flopping to follow public opinion

Hope his book sales go well...

I think you can debate how effective it was and whether the price paid for the benefit was too high, but the statement above is quite clearly not true.
