I've posted this before but the original Star Trek series used to tackle real moral and ethical issues. There's one episode called A Taste of Armageddon in which two planets are at war, but it's done through computer simulation, however the casualties are real where the victims of every attack are taken off to some chamber to be killed. In the end Kirk gives a passionate speech to the leaders of both in which he reasons the war has gone on so long because the simulation insulated both societies from the horrors of war, and gave them little reason to end it. It's a brilliant episode. Gene Roddenberry was way ahead of his time.
. .. and therein lies the problem ... many in the world prefer Pepsi... ... and in the darkest depths of the world, where civilisation and manifest destiny are still kept at bay by ferocious savages .... they drink Irn Bru ...

Those first 30 seconds aren't North Korean propoganda... That's the opening scene to next season's Peaky Blinders. Cillian Murphy could do with losing some weight.
The sad thing is, I used the last of my monthly high speed data watching it. . Now my speed is throttled until Sunday. Not to worry I'll be home all day Saturday. Curse you Kim Jong Un!
Obviously Ukraine should be held accountable for their actions just like Russia is and any war crimes punished appropriately.
This is the problem when we shout war crimes at Russia, we choose not to talk about 'the side we are on' - but human nature and reality would tell us, if we see our fellow soldiers, family, citizens slaughtered, then that is going to cause a reaction, and when you eventually do come face to face with those you capture, it's not going to be a pretty outcome. Sadly yet again demonstrating the bias of Western Media.
War crimes follow war as surely as night follows day . I have been intrigued how little reference there has been to POW's almost as if hardly any have been taken by either side which seems a tad unlikely .
I want to know where this shooting in the leg idea has come from? Has someone been watching Terminator 2 and thinking it's ok bcos "they'll live".
