I'm sure I've said often enough that I don't care about internationals, but I recognise that players see being called up as an honour and I respect that. I'd never slag them off for it.

There's ways and means for international management failures to protect players and get their work program done. This March internationals break is utterly pointless bar bringing players together for a camp and working on systems or to bring a lot of new players in pre world cup to have a look. Playing Jordan Henderson for 180mins is not only stupid as sin for the players it's utterly pointless for the no mark defensive manager. He learns nothing. In the dim past players would be told 45mins or whatever and people would get on with it. Burnley are at home but have to play everton midweek and norwich next weekend and they MUST win those two. I expect LFC to have the harder game. then the 5th. City have IN THEORY the harder game so imo this day will set up the rest of the month. IF city hammer atletico at home then tehy open up a whole set of options but equally if people really think benfica are weak then LFC can steal a march here. A tuesday to sunday turnaround should negate a lot of the away trip triedness for us. The league game between the two sides should be an absolute ripper. The 13th then sees city away. The turn around to the FA cup SF is shorter so that might be that 5% swing. IMO the CL game difficulty could decide both FA cup and League. I hope Atletico take city apart. but watford first without alisson and fbainho and diaz.
If Liverpool can leave Etihad Stadium without losing the title race will become very interesting However, if Liverpool can defeat City in the league at the Etihad Stadium Liverpool would have the momentum in the title race.
