We've no define right to get promoted, but that fixture is a wake up call to how far we've fallen. And next season it's going to be even harder, Leauge one filling up with decent championship sides and ex prem teams. I was laughed at when I said Wigan would go up before a ball was even kicked at the start of the season. They're not up yet, but looking more likely then not. I'll nail my colours to the mast now and predict Derby to piss leauge one next season.

 

They may stay up yet.

Agreed, but if you recall, we had a feel good factor,we had new owners, we had a budget Championship clubs would be jealous of, we had new seats,we were gonna sign all the best players and piss the leauge be up by Christmas. Each year it becomes more realistic that this could be a very long road. We should have done what Blackburn and Hull done, quick pop to leauge one then back upstairs. Alas, we are where we are and deserve to be where we are.

L1 has been depressing and gets worse each year.

 

That's true in some ways but not in others.

What we really had was just blind faith, unknown owners and massively overpaid wasters like Rodwell and Grigg.

Promotion is in our own hands, we have a handful of games to go and we're unbeaten in our last five games.

There's no doubt that it's a difficult league to get out of and I take your point that big clubs like Derby won't make it any easier ...

... but I remember people saying clubs like Ipswich and Sheff Wed would walk it tbf.

I can only focus my mind on Gillingham, Oxford and the other games to come, after that it's the play-offs or a 'Do we keep Neil' debate.

 

I usually love the games on a Sunday, today has been terrible Roll on next weekend.
