All my symptoms have now gone after 2 days. Just got to sit out the rest of the isolation period now.

Good you're feeling ok. I've had friends that relapsed others sick as parrots so many different symptoms affecting people in surprising ways.

I had a really bad day yesterday. Called 111 and touch and go whether I would need to go to hospital as my blood oxygen kept dropping to around 90%.

My issue is that I had double pneumonia about 5 years ago and apparently that makes you more likely to get it again as the lungs are scarred. I am a lot better today - my chest is agony when I cough but apart from that I feel ok although I do get a bit breathless. My blood oxygen is consistently around 98% too.

It is without any shadow of a doubt that the vaccination stopped me from being hospitalized. All those on the fence just do it. You just never know what underlying things can tip you over the edge.

As Archers pointed out I am pretty glad we lost to City as I would have to go through this every cup game otherwise

All the best for a speedy and complete recovery TIO1#7, Good you're encouraging people to get jabbed. I'm having my second booster tomorrow I expect and welcome a continuing vaccination and testing program, testing in the Netherland that is if not in the UK. I'm sure those that can afford frequent testing will be able to do. as ever the most in need of support in terms of free testing miss out.

Feeling a lot better again today. Still testing positive but the only symptoms are an occasional cough and a bit of breathlessness after climbing the stairs. So much better than Friday.

As I said in my last post if I wasnt vaccinated or not vaccinated for a long time I am 100% sure I would be in a worse state. It isnt worth the risk to see how bad you would be without. If you are able to take it, take it. It isn’t even a fit and healthy thing as although I am 52, I am reasonably fit with a BMI of 22, walk regularly, exercise regularly and eat healthily. I know loads of people say, “oh I’m in my 20s or 30s I’ll be fine”. Maybe. But is it worth the risk.

    Soap box put away.

“Oh I’m in my 20s or 30s I’ll be fine”. What don't these selfish ****wits understand about the transmission of the disease to vulnerable contacts and infection rate leading to greater risk of mutation?

I’ve joined the finally caught covid club too.
I’ve been part of better clubs. Minimal symptoms so far. I’m in the ‘I’m young and fit I’ll be fine’ camp, but still got triple jabbed at the earliest opportunity.
Wishing all others that have caught it recently a speedy recovery!

GWS mate. There's a bit of an outbreak on here is there a common thread, all at games, something to link the infections? I'm typing in gloves and mask outdoors for max ventilation.

England is having a bit of a covid resurgence. Perfectly expected tbh with covid rules relaxing. No particular spike in hospitalisation or death to go with it so this is the new normal.

The same Professor says that there is “worrying evidence of long term damage, including brain shrinkage” as a result of catching Covid.
I think we have enough sufferers, on here, to do our own survey, and if the professor ever reads this forum and the random derailing of a thread with puns, she might be onto a winner.

I have just read elsewhere that by now anyone who hasn't had Covid probably doesn't have any friends.

So to reinforce your stereotype views of me I can only report that I have not had Covid.
