Careful with them Macedonia / Greece connections. Those sorts of assertions lead to wars between Greece and Turkey. I think that's the reason the country was known as FYROM for years.
I remember the stink in 2006 when Skopje's airport was renamed Alexander the Great Airport I also remember how Alexander looked across the departures board and wept, as there were no more slights to Athens with first class accommodation...
please log in to view this image It's stats based, so take it with a pinch of salt. Still think that Rodon's got a **** deal from our lot. Should've got a shot when Dier was out.
I doubt it. The defence is a bit questionable, but the midfield and attack are impressive. Wouldn't surprise me if someone triggered Isak's release clause this summer.
I think he's better suited to Dier's role than the alternatives. We don't want to move Romero, as it weakens him and he's not as good at what Dier does, in my opinion. The central role plays to Rodon's strengths and Sanchez, Tanganga and Romero's weaknesses.
I think Romero is fine in the middle but it makes his aggression more risky. Romero/Rodon/Davies is more comfortable to me than Sanchez/Romero/Davies.
Assisted Spain's third, scored their fourth, then got subbed at half time Yes, you read that correctly...
Assist from a corner. Is that allowed? I assume that he was subbed because it was 5-0 at the time and that's game over. It's now 8-0 with a couple of minutes left.
Bergwijn gets a brace and plays the pass that earns Holland a penalty. Eriksen scores on his return as a sub with Hojbjerg involved in the move. Also hit the post late on.
Shaqiri clearly offside for the opener, but he's let off as he played for the Scouse. Kane gets some much-needed penalty practice.
