Killed sector 2. Absolutely killed it. Must have scraped paint off walls. Was also his best sector 1 and I assume that set it all up.
I doubt they'll go near it tomorrow. But if people are coming in behind at 160mph and you are in trouble it's far better to go straight on and shrug than mount it. Which car went over that earlier? Was it verstappen in p3? Bounced over bother sides of it.
Sadly our coverage stopped right after qualy ended. Will look for it online later. It must have been good though, because Charlie looked phenomenal.
Very good lap from George to be fair. So it appears the undercut cars combined with a non Merc power unit is the way to go!! The slim Jim Mercs and Maccas just don’t look right whereas RBR, Ferrari, Alfa Romeo and Haas all look very driveable and very fast. Alpine in amongst the latter and suspect they will continue their development into that direction have taken a very centred view before fully committing
George has put Hamilton’s qualifying woes down to a setup change which went the wrong way and left him with no confidence in the handling.
Just going to put it out there. Russell has every motivation to beat Hamilton. Hamilton has zero motivation to do a vettel/raikkonen/alonso tour about the back. Imo. There's more than set up in those times. There's a lack of attack
Something was clearly wrong. He couldn't get the car where he wanted/needed it. We only raced here a few months ago and it already seems like an age.
I wonder if that's due to Mick or the supply of parts? Seems like they may want him to overnight in hospital just to be safe but they are saying no injuries!!! Shows how good the FIA tests are.
