Problem is the iffy regimes have most of the oil now Russia are out favour! So the 'west' have to tread very carefully! The sooner we get to be energy independant the better.
Don’t shut the pit Lane when a driver is pushing a car backwards down it, also don’t worry about the missiles, everything’s fine. Good event this.
Seem plenty of big ones in Indy involving catch fencing, and that's not even taking in to consideration the ovals catch fencing incidents. If there's a big one at high speed, it could become a very big one.
So there’s a couple of ideas out there Sgt from what I’ve read (I’m just a messenger): 1) The E-10 fuel compromised performance either through combustion OR it is causing a reliability issue and they are turning PU down into safe mode 2) An underestimation of engine cooling requirements, again causing PU to be tuned down. I’d say it’s reliability based because surely Merc would not have homologised the PU and fallen back of the pack performance wise- this must be other things compromising it.
It is a bit weird that Ferrari, Honda and Renault all improved or is it just Merc couldn't extract much out of E10?
I really hope Merc can come up with a solution to this. There really could be some brilliant races to come throughout the field if they can.
If as Top Class has quoted, they may have underestimated the cooling requirements , given the side pods they have , they could be right in the S**T ! Apologies Ched .
I think it was TopClass who said that I would be surprised if that is the case as surely 1 of the Merc powered teams would have capacity to add cooling, just look at the louvers on the Aston!
Suspect this one is a pole for Max, then take your pick of Chaz, Sergio and Carlos. Ferrari much faster in sector one, RBR much faster on the straights, as predicted. Will make the race slightly annoying as I suspect the Bull can pass the Horse pretty easily if they get past.
