The drones we sent to Ukraine boggled my mind. It can hover, shoot at targets and kamikazi on demand. Wtf
I get this distinct feeling there is a serious lack of knowledge around sanctions with MP's after hearing Rishi's reply to the news reporter today. If you work for any financial institution, you have to know all this shhite, so it got me thinking. MP's are elected by the voters, but what sort of tests do they take before they uptake their roles, I expect none, which is quite shocking when you think about it, unless I'm wrong and they do. I know government has legal advisors, and I would hope Sunak is pulled to one side and it is pointed out to him legally his answer, left him open to a lack of knowledge, and one that could have disastrous consequences for a politically exposed person. We've already seen this recently with some Labour MP over Chinese donations, not having a go, just suggesting that maybe we need to rethink how elected MP's are installed into government, without knowing some very basic criteria around the possibilities of bribery and corruption and this guy is supposed to be the Chancellor ffs.
I was thinking a while back, when someone posted up one of those drones on here, whether they could be kamikazi into the Russian ships sitting off the coast of Odessa.
well being the wife of an MP who is de selected by his local Conservative Constituency party is apparently all the qualification you need since 2 got the gig at the last election
lol...just shocking mate - Rishi I assume with his financial budgets has to work with the BoE, I'm assuming he's got some degree's to his name to do this shhite. Which also means he should know the rules. I've no idea what work his mrs does, because I ain't interested, but if it involves anything Russian, I would suggest his legal buddies start snooping around, because you can be damn sure the media will be all over it like a rash.
Maybe we need a fit and proper test for MP's. No MP should be able to take up their role unless they have a minimum understanding of that thing called corruption. Although to be fair, most Tory MP's are very astute with the term.
Good thinking that bro, that's why I'm not606 admin, and not in control of the drones, I'd be dive bombing them only to be bounced into the sea
as you say far too many seem to have a very hands on understanding of the concept though unfortunately they don't seem so clued up on rules or morals .
Is that what your post was about? I thought you were saying we shouldn't be scrutinising him about his wife's business links to Russia. I really don't see what sexism or equality has to do with it. If it was his brother or any other family member he'd be asked the same questions and rightly so imo.
In terms of techological advancement and military power it's incredible. I can't help thinking the more we remove ourselves from the direct death and destruction, turning it into something we view on a computer screen hundreds of miles away, we lose something which keeps soldiers and their leaders in check with the horrors of it all.
Keeps getting brutal and more distant... First guns, then air raids. Now drones. The killer keeps getting further away from the killed.
I was saying, in the current world we live in with all mighty feminazism, the reporter would be condemned for talking about his wife’s life and how he should be telling her what to do. Granted he didn’t answer it well.
