Ross Stewart's been talking about how much he's influence him since he rejoined Sunderland: https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spo...ws/ross-stewart-hails-jermain-defoes-23466521 The Loch Ness Drogba's scored 22 in 39 this season and been called up by Scotland: Alex Pritchard making some notable contributions. Virtually all of his goals are about arriving in the box at the right time and making simple finishes. Gary Lineker made a very successful career out of that. Not sure how much Defoe has done about Stewart's heading, though. Looks very effective.
Andros Townsend is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60842736 A real shame for him. Hope he gets through it quickly. Things really not going well for Everton, are they?
Top 5 goals for Spurs: The 9-1 v Wigan where he got five: Hopefully the club will put together a compilation of his goals and he'll be a guest at a game soon. It'd be nice to be able to show our appreciation for him.
Love this man so much and in recent years as my disillusionment with the modern game grew exponentially, he was a breath of fresh air and much-needed humanity and, more importantly, humility. Jermain Defoe, he's a yiddo
It is only the mail so take with a pinch of salt but they’re claiming we’ve offered Defoe the chance to complete his coaching badges at Hotspur Way. IIRC we done this with Mason, who then down the line joined us full time and it’s safe to say he’s had a bit of an eventful post-playing career with us!
