How is Shota doing as manager for you lot? If any of you have Rangers TV you can see him play for the Rangers Legends v Rest of the World XI this Saturday, he was a great player for us.

You mean as an option? The monthly rolling payment is brilliant in my opinion. 10 months cost of football spread out over 12 months and no need to renew. Getting rid of that would be a huge mistake.

It was always an option before membership anyway. Pay up front or on an installment plan at a slightly higher cost.

    Thanks.
Unfortunately nothing new at all. We'll have to wait a while longer to hear more about Acun's plans.

    Dare To Dream

Edit: just noticed, HDM headline (Hull City's ambitious MKM Stadium plans revealed as Tigers plot Man City-style complex) v's the actual content which says "“What we need is our own model. We can be influenced and we can reflect on other models, for example, the City model is a good starting point but it can’t be applied to us. If we did apply it to us, it would be a failure because that’s unique and their ownership has a different vision to ours". FFS HDM.

Little click bait as per from Hull live.... But in all seriousness this is the third owner who has wanted to do this, let's hope hull council don't make it a hat tick of missed opportunity for the area

If the plans are genuine in their intention then it would be absolutely criminal if HCC blocked them.

'Hull City owner Acun Ilicali is keen to develop a plan to improve the MKM Stadium and surrounding areas, if they can secure an extension to the 50-year lease on the ground'

At least he knows you can build an extension on a council house...

Well they'd better leave the Sand Lizards alone !

Other than that where exactly are they going to build, over West Park itself and lose some of them amenities ?
The car park is the obvouis place put as others have said can anyone really see the council letting that go ahead ?

It's all a case of easier said than done.

The fair is the main reason the council won't entertain giving up the car park, the market is just a way to generate some income from the site the rest of the time, it wouldn't prevent any development. Everyone also seems to forget, that the car park provides over a thousand parking spaces on match days, if it went, where would people park? (I think the Allams proposed a multi-storey accessed via a bridge onto the land of the newts, but I'm not sure how practical that was)

It'll be interesting to see what plans this would include.

If its a sports village, what would that be? There's already Albert Avenue leisure centre, which is being done up at great cost, on the next street over.

There's already some football pitches just outside the stadium that could do with some development, perhaps some of the car park can be used to enhance that.

Beyond that, what else would be wanted? I find it hard to believe that there's currently enough demand to build something on the whole of the car park, so perhaps a deal can be struck for a bit of it?

Cripes, it's like the comments section of the HDM. Default position, blame the council for anything and everything before knowing the full facts. Perhaps Acun has done his research, unlike Lloyd and Allam, and has already had informal talks with the council and told them what he plans, and may even have had positive feedback. :emoticon-0100-smile

I think it's more accurate to say that an alternative location for the Fair is more of a stumbling block, and the car park being there may generate more issues than it resolves.
