I never blamed Coutinho or Torres. Think fans are harsh on them. Owen I didn't blame the first time but after Newcastle and Manchester I tend to agree he's a bastard. Players I disliked while with us? Diouf mentioned on another thread. He stands out. Voronin irked me with some of his comments... And what was the name of the French reserve keeper we had who was cutting up during the Hillsborough observation... Minds gone blank. Harry Kewell's attitude and diving bugged me.
But surely that’s not a prediction Yes of course we are capable of winning every game but to suggest we are going to is not realistic You have to take in into account Wind Direction Jinxability Brown Envelope Direction Supporters Noise Levels Comfort of bog roll that morning Player Parties Any prior Boom boom Loads of stuff Then you can try to predict the outcome Otherwise it’s not a prediction
You’re not going through everyone here are you JB I am normally more upbeat after a defeat than most on here tbf
I said any game, not every game. Of course I don't expect us to win every game, but we are capable of winning any, and we only deal with one game at a time - so in the build-up to each one I'm looking forward to the win. I'm not trying to be personal, but I don't see the point in fearing the worst all the time from a team that wins far more games than it doesn't. I'm much more apprehensive, and cynical, over things like politics, say, because experience leads me to expect the worst from that area of life - but constantly worrying about football seems to me to be a thorough waste of time.
I'm grumpy when we lose, but it doesn't happen that often and I don't take it as a personal affront. I accept that it happens, and I'm over it pretty quickly and looking forward to the next game most of the time.
