Looking for positives. Will anyone buy Willock in the summer... Surely it gives us a half a season more with him
Well that sucks...Warburton will have his reason for a non-eventful end to the season, and to be fair to him, he has been blaming injuries for a while. As Beth has pointed out, positive is that Willock is less likely to go in the summer. Just a thought, if Warnock (*Warburton) is right, and exhaustion/injuries have played their part...what needs to be done differently between this season and next to ensure we aren't in the same boat next year? Give all the players two months off to fully rest? Longer pre-season training so they are better prepared? Change the focus of pre-season to be solely on fitness?
Colin would take them all down to Cornwall for a friendy with Callington FC and the St Austell Tribute 11.
More seriously unless Chair can take a big step up and properly replace Willock, that screws our promotion this year.
I'm sick of hearing excuses from Warburton, every team plays the same amount of games. It's his job and the rest of the backroom staff and medical team to get the players as fit as possible, while some of these injuries have been down to bad luck, as I said before it's too many to be just bad luck. Stop bringing in old crocks, stop bringing in old boys from previous clubs, stop bringing in players who were at their best 3 or more years ago, start doing defensive training. We've ****ed this season right up now and we need a change in the summer. I'm done on this thread now as I can't see us doing anything regarding the manager. All very depressing
Injuries, errors and a poor January window have halted QPR’s play-off charge https://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr...xEnmWw1TEBqmTqe0IH9_w-44f5ffkmuCL80LGJkWmzv0Q
What happened to that Faisal Bettache chap? He looked promising in his handful of appearances, did he go out on loan? I think if I were Warbs I'd say **** it and really shake the team up properly, so far his idea of mixing it up has been rotating the same 14 players and its gone stale. Then again if you're a fringe player or worse a former regular (Hello Dom) your confidence is probably in the bin any way.
Unlikely as it seems, we may have just one more shot at getting our play-off train back on the rails. I reckon Fulham at home is the best game we could have after the International break. If Warburton could just get the players fired up enough to actually beat Fulham, it might just restore all the lost momentum and would definitely get the fans back onside. Lose that game and it's definitely all over. I'd certainly then agree with utilising the fringe players and a bit of youth in the remaining games. We've been let down by our senior players of late.
Bettache came back from a loan at Oldham in December. Believe he was expected to go out on loan again, but think he'still with us and has played for the U23's. I find no update on that anyway.
Yes we need to remember how perverse this game can be. The utter madness of losing 3 times to Peterborough can be equalled by beating Fulham.
Can anyone seriously see us beating Fulham? Yes, of course anything can happen, but in all likelihood we'll do well to keep it down to 3.
