Yes true, im just thinking of the hysteria and delight less than 2 months ago when he re-signed, and now this. Theres always some form of drama going on with us.
Unfortunately for both him and us it hasn't worked out and best wishes to the lad. From a club point of view it was a poor signing, Speakman needs moving on as the priority should have been cover for Stewart.

Really disappointed if this is true, as it seams that it is, I thought he was looking sharper and could have been useful to us as we are short of players up front and his composure could be required as we have speed in abundance up front. Injury may be the reason, which would explain his non appearance at U23 level.

Whether he retires now or not, I still havent heard a plausible reason from the club for his signing. There was nothing to suggest he could offer anything on the pitch, other than his own opinion of his lasting fitness, which really never sounded realistic. In some ways it has been hard watching his appearances for us, remembering what he was. I cant see any progress being made between now and the end of the seasom personally. Personally I would not have him on the bench, so perhaps it is time to call it a day. I could see it being a pain in the backside for Neil having to answer questions about not picking him as a sub.
Shame that. Must have some sort of injury I'd assume. Need to really look after Stewart now or the wheels are off.

Could be that as well. I hope it's announced/denied sharpish though. The whole Keane thing dragged on far too long and cost us. Any free agents knocking around we could get? Benji's contract is up at the end of the season and there will be huge interest in Rossco. Another big summer ahead.
