    My good conspiracy <laugh>

    It's a joke, man, posted for a laugh :emoticon-0138-think

Another joke is you thinking that I support the largely irrelevant Labour Party (after all that I've said in the recent past) :emoticon-0105-wink:

As far as I can understand it the only crime that has been committed is in taking hostages under false pretences, maybe she and the other two unfortunates should sue the Government of Iran, after all that is were they were arrested, and not make trouble here, as that is all they are doing, and doing it for their own ends.

I wanted to keep well away from this topic and just read the comments, however she is Iranian who married a brit and came here to escape that regime, however she works for a charity and wrote columns knowing that they would evoke rage in her mother country. And despite this and being threatened on social media by Iranians in Britain, she decided to go on Holiday there and drag her daughter along, was that not asking for trouble, why couldn't she ask for a permit for her parents to visit makes more sense. She must have know and expected trouble for what she wrote, and how is it Britain's fault because she decided to visit a pirahia state, The pallets of cash Obama gave them have run dry now, yet they still seek dominance in the region provoking wars, blowing up tankers and sending rockets into other countries. She knew they didn't play by the rules of etiquette, she need to thank her lucky stars, they were easy with her, I remember Whitehall telling us Britain will not be held to ransom by terrorists, so out goes that old adage.

Thing I can't get my head around since she has come back to Britain is how surprisingly well she looks after her husband has drip fed the media as to how her mental health has suffered during her ordeal.
Now I'm not belittling people having mental health issues but this woman looked as if she has just come home after a two week holiday.
She was always going to blame the authorities here for her ordeal when the real culprits are Iran.
The other question I have is why haven't we heard about the others detained in Iran, I couldn't honestly name any of them other than this lady whose husband has gainfully kept her in the limelight.
Think the best thing all round is for her to concentrate on building her family back up and as others have alluded to write a book about her experiences.

If I had been a pawn in a political game and suffered 6 years of torment I would be out for everything I could get. I'm not gonna get it from Iran, so I would probably have a pop at Britain instead. Dont know how far that would get her like. It was Iran who wrongly jailed her and held her to ransom. Her jailing and Britains debt to Iran should be two entirely different things and should not be linked. Cant see how Britain can be blamed legally.

Torment? Behave yourself. She looked great.

She must have been getting 3 course meals every day in a luxury cell.

Being denied being around for 6 out of 7 years of your child's life would go under the category of torment.

I was being sarcastic, mate. Read through the comments. She's been through hell in solitary confinement.

I thought it was a bit of an about turn in your policy.

I think I remember reading that the end of her imprisonment was under house arrest so i thought you were having a dig at that.
