I've recently I've seen places Wolverhampton and Sunderland having there own music festivals with the likes of Echo and the Bunnyman, Cast, Happy Mondays, Stiff Little Fingers and Lighting Seed playing.

If places like this can put on distance festivals Hull can.

There's a few places like West Park and East Park to host it.

Blackburn have a 3 day Summerfest do at Ewood Park at the end of May.

    Reasonably priced too.

We used to go to the Blues festival in Blackburn; it was really well priced when it first started out - it was always a top weekend, good pubs and some really good bands.

We have had 2 of those bands on in Zebedee's Yard in recent years, fantastic outdoor venue, the Primal Scream one was brilliant, better venue than in one of the parks, any news on new gigs there this summer?

No, but I am taking my daughters to Rolling Loud in Portugal in July, tickets held over from 2 years ago. I won't be actually going myself, Me and the Missus will be enjoying all that Portugal has to offer whilst they get deafened by hiphop.

Echo and the Bunnymen were superb in Zeb Yard. Enjoyed them much more than I expected. (Primal Scream very food too as you say)

Im not aware of any gigs planned although the ticketed part of The Awakening was there on Saturday (I had tickets but couldn’t get there in the end)

2018. Looking at the acts they've got lined up so far, it looks like a scaled down version
