The iron curtain has fallen. Some people just don't realise it yet.

India better wake the **** up for example before it finds itself wedded to the Russians

Burn all things Russian except their fossil fuels.

    Esp football clubs and yachts.

Don't think they will mind, India have just purchased 3 million barrels of crude from Russia. Pakistan have bought 2 million tons of wheat
and natural gas aswell. The west is attempting to ruin the Russian economy, it ain't gonna work. Russia has too much support globally.

    #minorstuff.

you need to realise its ALREADY worked. :)

burn all things russian except their fossil fuels.

    rationing already in russian shops.

    interest rates 20%
    inflation 12.5%
    rouble 30% devalued
stock market crash and frozen since 25th feb. they opened it only for bond trading only yesterday and the yield shot up to 20% (massive) and fell back to 13%. those are junk bond status. They had to cos they were running out of money so that'll have to be all repaid.

theres a rush on sugar in the shops, rationing of flour etc.

I wouldn't necessarily believe the wsj mito, some may say they have a vested interest <whistle>
The question is will it do damage in the long term,my guess is no.
What we are witnessing is end of empire and a world which will never be the same again.

the numbers are form thier own central bank :)

    there's multiple sources at play.

the fact they opened their stock market only for bonds yesterday was published on BBC for example and the rates are a matter of public record.

    the rates are unsustainable.

Your guess is way off mate. No state can sustain that inflation levels and that level of interest rates.

We are actually witnessing a sundering of globalisation with a HARD east west divide re-established. States like india need to decide what side they want to be on frankly as we are into war by proxy across the globe here.

have you not cottoned onto the fact that the Russians have shot their load of cheap weapons and are firing the really expensive **** now.

russia is headed for the dark ages and needs to invent technology form scratch. they can't do it. Period. they'll at best have to buy out of china where the USA is existing at a rapid rapid rate.

I understand what you're saying in general, I just don't agree. With regard to this comment specifically, I agree except for the first and last lines.

I don't know all club owners but I'm sure there are plenty who are 'clean'. The problem started with Chelsea and the PL allowing an oligarch to own a British asset. That's when the rot set in and spread to city and now Newcastle. None of those owners should have been allowed anywhere near the game. But ... the fans of those clubs welcomed them with open arms. Look at how the Geordies behaved turning up en masse with tea towels on their heads. Talk about being socially unaware. From a moral point of view it's despicable. So the fans are culpable too.

The other day I contrasted these fans with Liverpool fans and how our fans have always been more aware of what is socially acceptable, protesting unjust and immoral moves by the owners at every turn. I'd like to think we would protest against any such owners coming near us. Our fans think about the effects of the club's actions. Chelsea fans have been happy to wallow in what 19 years of wealth has brought them without protesting on a single occasion as to where that wealth came from and the blood dripping off it. You don't get into games for free so they've been happy to be part of the whole dodgy setup. They've taken the good times now they have to take the bad times.

I appreciate what you are saying
And I totally respect that view
And yes we have slightly differing views

I think that blood is dripping from everything if you delve deep enough
The British and our government are no more innocent or guilty than others imho

but it must be hard to do anything of that ilk and not be responsible for consequences

that’s why I don’t wish to get into the politics of it
We only have two weeks before the next game lol <laugh>

Chelsea may or may not get lucky with their next owner and I totally agree they have to take the bad with the good

but I just don’t agree with barring the fans from stadia at this point

    sanctions
Sponsorship (that’s a laugh - 6 weeks ago yeah no probs suddenly No - but that’s a big debate lmao)
Yes to those but let the people watch the games.

being honest I would not even ask the money from tickets goes to FA or Ukraine as that is political
i Would say put the money straight back into grass roots in this country end of
But that’s me taking a simplistic view too

    Isn't it already

I mean it owns most of the worlds debt and its pretty much building modern Africa and Asia.

America is just the middle aged man who used to be a big deal and now just spending his time telling everyone down the local that he used to run things.

I like that you are never afraid of putting your view out there and are respectful of others points of view. In some ways you are like me in that I always want to know what others are thinking and why they think what they think. It's also good to know who you can and who you can't let your true thoughts and feelings known to. I've had a few encounters where the object of the game seems to be point scoring rather than honest debate. We won't agree on this one and we're both okay with that.
