It's a fair point and I'm all for talking to bad people to resolve conflict, but when the parallels between the "peacemaker" and the antagonist are so similar you'd struggle to slip a piece of paper between them, I question it. It's not like Corbyn was going around blowing up innocent people.
Indeed. Corbyn has campaigned for Peace all of his political career. He's even more of a bizarre target for this sort of ire tbh, but you know...
OK I admit it he isn't an imbecile. A manipulative, scheming egotistical, pompous lardy dah public school boy is probably a more accurate description but imbecile was quicker to type and most people just filled in the blanks anyway.
What a cluster fck of a ****show the world is right now. Looks like Assad won. Oh well. Syria's president has made his first trip to an Arab country since the Syrian civil war began 11 years ago. Bashar al-Assad arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Friday, and met several influential and controversial rulers who signalled a willingness to strengthen ties with Syria again. Lovely. Oh and this is him with the bloke who owns City... please log in to view this image Yaya Toure baked him a birthday cake. Boris organised the party. Everyone neck deep in dinars, dollars and the black stuff. Happy days.
One issue tho is that Blair provided the documented proof that Bush needed to get the invasion rubber stamped by Congress Shortly after the head of the department (a professor) who provided the faked evidence was found dead in a remote location (allegedly committed suicide by slashing his wrists and taking an overdose)
They didn't need anything from us to get the war rubber stamped. They had their own dodgy evidence. Remember the post grad thesis they tried to palm off as some Pentagon intel... at the United Nation security council no less We were the poodle as always not the puppet master.
Must be something in the human psyche, I read a report a few years ago that showed there had not been one day of peace since the end of the Second World War due to minor or major conflicts across the entire planet Probably more people killed since 1945 than were killed during the war
They would've had the receipts for the weapons they sold to Iraq when they were fighting Iran Must have been a bit of a shock when they couldn't locate them after the invasion
Btw Tony Blair is a wretched **** of an excuse for a human being. But last time I looked we live in a democracy. And this was the vote for the Iraq War: Labour 254 For, 84 against, 69 abstained (62% voted for) Tory 146 For, 2 against, 17 abstained (88% voted for) Libdems 0 For, 52 against, 1 abstained (0% voted for) Look at those percentages. Now consider this, had 62 MP's whether Tory or Labour voted Against instead of For, then Blair would've lost the vote and resigned. The tories believed in the war that much they were willing to keep that **** in power. Remember that. Robin Cook one of the few who had genuine integrity.
This government might have done a lot of bad things but they aren't murderers like Blairs Labour government.
Maybe "when wasn't there a war in Africa" would be a better way of putting it. Africa is a continent of many country's.
A greater percentage of Tory MP's voted for the war than Labour MP's The whole thing was a ****ing abomination and Blair has to shoulder the weight of responsibility for it But the notion that it was all Labour's fault has proven to be horseshit
All those who voted for the war have blood on their hands. The Tories were equally complicit. As I said, he was going to resign if he lost the vote. So there you are, able to thwart a warmonger who leads the opposing party and you..... vote with him keep him in his position and help to massacre thousands What's that saying... all it takes for evil to succeed is for good men (and women) to do nothing. Well there weren't many good men and women and plenty of evil ones
Btw that reminds me, there's a lot of bollox about what this ukraine war is about. Fwiw I dislike all tyrants Whether they're a democracy or a dictatorship Just putting it out there.
