I just bought tickets to see Bobby G and friends play Screamadelica in the summer as part of the 30th anniversary shows they are doing... I think we saw them at least four times when they did the 20th anniversary, time has flown by. One of the most influencial albums growing up for me
****ing legends no doubt I remember the Blur vs Oasis thing going on whilst I was mostly oblivious listening to Primal Scream, Massive Attack, Charlatans amongst others. I’ve been very tempted with another scream gig, are they still holding up ok? Most bands from that era absolutely still have it.. a few less so, I had tickets for happy Mondays this year.. wasn’t too disappointed when they cancelled
They're still great. Bobby Gillespie has just had an album out with Jenny Beth which was very good. Last time I saw them, Mani was playing bass. However, last time I saw Happy Mondays they were quite poor, mainly down to how ****ed Shaun Ryder is! Catches up with us all
